POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
#TransformationTuesday the left picture is May 2022, 230+ pounds, 5 months after I started working at my current job. In 2022 I came to Brooklyn, I was four years post marriage and still finding my way. In those four years I ate and drank what I wanted with little concern for my longevity. Then the move. I no longer had a 4-5 hour a day round trip commute and it was up to me to find how to best use that time. I joined the gym, and went inconsistently and wondered why I was in the same place a year later. I hadn’t changed my habits. So I got inspired to be in the best health I can possibly be in 2024 when I turned 50. And I was in better shape and I was doing things better but it took about another year for me to get better with my nutrition. In the meantime I built a gym in my apartment. Yup took half my living room and made a gym. But I still hovered between 210-215 pounds. January 2026 I gave in fully. While I was “better” with my nutrition I hadn’t yet fully understood the power of preparation and cooking and being consistent with it. These last four months have been every bit of consistency and I have learned so much.
The picture on the right is two weeks ago, May 2026, 197 pounds. 33 and really likely a 32 inch waist. My clothes fit different, my body feels different, my mental health is different and heading this summer to 52 years old and far better than I was on that 50th birthday.
Some people will look at this and say “oh he loves himself” and you know what? I absolutely do. That love for myself made me care about my health, care about my life and longevity. I want to live longer and be healthier doing it. I chose me and realized that didn’t make me selfish or a bad person. It made me better for the people that mattered. I’m not done and I’m not perfect. I’ll likely slip up here and there I’m human like everyone else but I understand consistency now and I feel like I’m just getting started.

*Also 100% naturally done. That’s important to me taken in Brooklyn, New York by @salletofff

There’s something to be said for seeing your friends find happiness. So happy for @davechic and his bride Sam. What a beautiful family they make. I also got to catch up with some life long friends and that made it all that much more special. taken in North Fork Long Island by @salletofff

What a fun night! My second time seeing @chrisstapleton live and there may not be a better live voice touring today. Happy I got to share it with @carley.leto and @brennanmc_1238. Summer is winding down but there’s still more concerts, maybe even one more this week… taken in Jones Beach Amphitheater by @salletofff

I don’t think in the 12 years I’ve had Instagram that I’ve seen anyone more revered in positive posts than Dolly Parton. All backgrounds of people with all beliefs. I thought why?
Dolly transcended across 7 different decades. She represents a part of Americana we will never see again. One we stay nostalgic for but won’t get back. She reminds us of our grandparents, our parents and our childhoods. There are very few of those people left and that’s why it captures us. It represents our own clock ticking by @salletofff

Sometimes cancelled plans can lead to the best days. Walked 10+ miles today but the 3+ hours at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens was some of the most peaceful time I’ve spent with myself in a long time taken in Brooklyn Botanic Garden by @salletofff

Mannnnn this was awesome! If you know me you know I love music of all generations, genres, cultures. To get to spend a personal hour listening to @speech__ tell his and his family’s story was my privilege. As I told him he somehow made me feel like a kid again while touching on so much I feel today. He is a true artist and gentleman and this was a highlight for me. Where are my Arrested Development fans?!! taken in Braselton, Georgia by @salletofff

People make comments and I hear the questions all the time. Why do you do so much around the #LGBTQIA+ community, why do you celebrate #PRIDE.
First and foremost it’s about that guy right in the first picture, my Uncle Johnny. We lost him in the mid 90’s. I will celebrate this community and this month the rest of my life in his memory. He didn’t live to see the acceptance he deserved.
It’s about my brother Ed and his husband Chris. Two good men that ask nothing of anyone just to be free to love one another.
And so many more of family and friends who I love dearly.
When I came to @maimohealth I immediately made friends with @mikeyballshb21 because he reminded me of family and had such great energy
When I heard they were starting an LGBTQIA+ BERG at our hospital I joined day one (last picture). These are my people and I’ll stand up for them to anyone because I know and love them all and their hearts are pure.
Forever a proud nephew and #ALLY Happy #pridemonth❤️💛💚💙💜 to all by @salletofff

These pictures represent where I came from and what makes me who I am today. I grew up in a multicultural neighborhood. The same ones I referred to others pretending don’t exist in this country. I’m so happy I grew up this way and continue today to work amongst a diverse group of employees. It’s afforded me the common sense that I’m no better than anyone because of skin color or language barrier. I’m a first generation American with an immigrant father and I’m not selective over what countries it was acceptable to immigrate from. It’s a really simple process. Raise your kids the way you see fit and let others do the same. But don’t act like any of this is a new thing. Especially those of you from New York. Also if you moved away from New York good for you but don’t keep talking about the politics here because you don’t have a say in it any longer. Enjoy your new location surrounded by people who look, sound and think just like you. It’s exactly what made you forget where you came from. by @salletofff
