I’m here at ArtSea gallery in Tulista park in Sidney for the 3rd day of my solo art show and I have to say it’s a-hoppin! lol. The nicest part for me is meeting so many lovely new people who enjoy art. If you feel like a chatarooni come on down and see the show! I’m here from 10-4 daily, last day is Thursday😘☀️☺️

Like a daydream out there at Matheson Lake painting alongside fellow artist friends Friday morning. I’m enjoying taking a slightly larger canvas out; a little more freedom is a wonderful thing !😉✨🥰 We were lucky of such glorious sunshine ☀️

Thank you to Windsor Park Art Club for inviting me to teach an afternoon workshop in landscapes; we focused on methods of simplifying (photo reference and demo below) for abstracting elements. What an enthusiastic interesting group of artists! Thanks for having me 😊 by @sallychupick

Little Sanctuary & Emerald Waters have found their new home this morning! 🤗 This collector prefers to frame work to her own tastes… no problem for me… I am always happy to remove from their current wood float ones from @rusticburlco (I use Velcro to attach so it’s easy) so she can do them up how she prefers. Price never changes for client for framed or unframed; it’s simply a preference thing, sometimes I frame them sometimes I don’t. Happy to get to send these ones off to my collector soon!
I am enjoying a slow week in the studio rearranging my set up after a hectic couple of weeks of travel. I feel like downtime is precious.🥰 taken in Victoria, British Columbia by @sallychupick

Mijanés is a little alpine town in the Pyranees that boasts a gorgeous drive to reach it; a little gem of a place. The Tour de France climbs through here. It was day 10 on our two week plein air painting excursion. So much fun, I made a little video to remember 💕 taken in Mijanès by @sallychupick

The last day of our painting trip in the South of France we painted in the ancient village of Saint Hilaire and one of the studies I did was of this remarkable tree; it’s an Albizia tree or commonly known as a Persion Silk tree. The little flowers on it look like hot pink fan paintbrushes.

It’s been a great little painting adventure here in Limoux. We’ve been out most days to paint. I’m doing gouache on paper in my sketchbook (travel diary) and getting in some of these 7x5” oils on panels. Very grateful for this experience taken in Centre ville Limoux by @sallychupick
