🎬 Creating the documentary, @womenlikeusdocu has been one of the greatest honors of my life. When I first set out to direct this film, I had no idea how deeply it would shape me, or how much I would uncover along the journey. What started as a vision became a three-year labor of love, countless hours, sacrifices, and a significant investment, but every moment was worth it. I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

I’m so proud to share it with you. 💻 You can watch Women Like Us now on YouTube, Apple TV, Tubi, and more. Link in bio.

About The Film: Not all heroes wear capes! For the first time in history, women’s voices are being LOUDLY heard. WOMEN LIKE US is a moving chronicle of three women who embark on a journey to find female hero’s across the United States and Kenya, who are confronting social injustices and creating change in the areas of sex trafficking, female genital mutilation, depression, teen suicide, homelessness, and more.

What a moment last night. ♥️ Watching @frankiejordanla and my beautiful @steviepetree together at the iconic @vibratogrilljazz was something I will never forget.

A huge thank you to @edenalpert for making the connection that brought this beautiful moment to life. My heart is so full, and I could not be a prouder mama.

Still on cloud nine and soaking it all in. ✨♥️ taken in Los Angeles, California by @sallycolon1

What an extraordinary night. ✨

ZOE International’s A Night of Hope was an incredibly inspiring evening, bringing people together to learn more about the realities of child trafficking and the life-changing work ZOE is doing around the world to prevent trafficking, rescue children, and restore lives.

My hope is that this evening impacted people far beyond the walls of the room, that the stories shared moved hearts, opened eyes, and inspired each of us to consider how we can make a difference in the lives of children who are being exploited every single day.

To everyone who attended, supported, donated, and gave so generously, thank you. Because of you, we raised nearly $200,000 to help continue the work ZOE began 23 years ago. What an incredible testament to what can happen when people come together with compassion, purpose, and a commitment to creating change.

The night may be over, but the mission continues. ❤️

Every child deserves freedom.

I remember when I was going through my divorce in 2016 and I was in a therapy session and my therapist said to me it’s OK to disappoint your children. In that moment, I felt so sad, but I understood that it was OK, and that it was healthy for my kids in the long run.

If you want to stop being a people pleaser, you need to be okay with disappointing people.♥️ by @sallycolon1

Working on refining our finished script, “Shattered Glass House”, inspired by true events in 1980’s Chicago!
