#tbt To an unforgettable trip of my final year in dental school that deserved another dedicated post 🦷🦷🦷 it was a privilege to share this dental journey with peers around the world. As a new academic year is about to begin, a friendly reminder to all my dental friends still grinding in school: Dental school is a few grueling and testing years, but the time together is limited. Don’t forget to fuel yourself with whatever fills your cup. Lean in to learning everything you can. We all want to see you grow to your fullest potential. I’m rooting for all of you 🌟🌟🌟 #ddsloading🦷 #firstgen #womanindentistry #dentistry #uip2024 #dentistsaroundtheworld #dentistofinstagram taken in Chengdu, Sichuan by @sallysmiles.dds

Dreams come true 🥹🥹 Thank you for the love and support of family and friends near and far. I am grateful for my community who has shaped this little girl to be the person that I am today. After this decade long pre-dental journey of mine, I can finally say: WE DID IT!!!!!!

I have been delaying this post to allow myself the time and space to let this special moment sink in. While celebrating this milestone is important, I recognize the privilege and responsibilities of being in this new role. I am processing the transitions, the changes and the new identity development while desperately protecting that little girl from a world that is becoming more and more foreign to her in the recent months. Although the road ahead seems blurry right now, I am (still) hopeful and grateful.

So please allow me to re-introduce myself:

I’ll be the first to admit: The old me would be cringing hard when seeing a post like this 🫣The new me still cringes.. but I have to be my biggest cheerleader and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t proud of myself and these preps 🥲 Looking for more picture examples of ADEX prosth preps on typodont teeth online but no luck? Click on the little flag to save this reel for later!! I hope this helps someone out there. Wishing all the D4s the best of luck through this sprint to the finish line. Remember, at this stage, dentistry is all about PRACTICE! And when you’re checking your work, make sure to check from the front, the back, the side and the top ☺️ YOU GOT THIS!! #ddsloading🦷 #classof2025🦷 #adex #prosth #dentalpreparation #crown #crownprep #crownpreparation taken in UCSF Dental Center by @sallysmiles.dds

Been EATING, SLEEPING, BREATHING in the world of dentistry lately… and I’m not even saying it was healthy 😭😭 Finally catching a small breather until part 2 of boards exam. D4 has been an uphill battle and I can’t wait to be done. Anyone else out there on the struggle bus? Big ups to those who understand 😌 #helpusall taken in UCSF School of Dentistry by @sallysmiles.dds

Grateful for the opportunity to serve on the 23-24 ASDA National Council on Advocacy 🇺🇸 This is a one year commitment that opened my eyes to the complexities of dental healthcare policy and revealed how even dental students can make an impact at local, state and federal levels to improve access to safe and quality dental care. Needless to say, it takes a village to achieve the dream and I’m missing the team a little extra today as I’ve passed on the torch to @kindleflame (you go girl!) Special thanks to @b.mobeck for the little push to step up to the plate and @dentalstudents for the memories ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 taken in Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C. by @sallysmiles.dds

d3: ft me & a year of many highs 💫 and just as many lows 📉🫣 The reality is that learning anything new for the first time can, and most likely will be, very challenging. d3 year was definitely one for the books. A year of many firsts with a lifetime of learning ahead. I’m grateful to have shared this time and experience with these folks 🫶🥰❤️‍🔥 taken in UCSF Dental Center by @sallysmiles.dds

MY RECAP ON ASDA NLC 2022 🥹😌✨

I’m extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to attend the ASDA National Leadership conference last year! Held annually in Chicago, dental student leaders from throughout the U.S. spend one weekend attending seminar talks covering topics such as Advocacy, Wellness, Leadership and so much more that is not taught or spoken about in dental school.

Special thanks to ASDA for making attending NLC possible for me. As one of five selected recipients of the inaugural ASDA NLC Scholarship, ASDA funds the cost to attend NLC. Although I sadly won’t be attending NLC this year, I hope everyone has lots of fun and take advantage of the unique opportunity to grow together as future dental professional

🦷 D2 Winter quarter came and went! 🚀Here’s a little teaser of me and my peers at three conferences in three states in less than two months!! Dental school can be a wild time and the dental student experience can feel extremely long. BUT ALSO the time flies and I am extremely grateful that I didn’t let these opportunities past me by 😌 #asda #adea #ada #toothparty #dentalstudents #advocacy #dentist #lobbyday taken in UCSF School of Dentistry by @sallysmiles.dds
