As the summer season approaches, we are looking for Front of House Superstars to join our team.

We have roles for a Front of House Supervisor, Waiters and Bar staff. Hospitality staff with experience in a busy and quality focused restaurant are encouraged to apply for casual positions, with 20 to 25 hours per week of work available. Weekend availability and a great attitude is essential.

We are open as usual across the long weekend. Lunch and Dinner services on Saturday, and Lunch on Sunday and Monday.

If you are planning to join us for Lunch on Monday we recommend booking as always, so that we can ensure that we have a table ready for you. We will be offering our Feed Me menu exclusively on Monday, with all advised dietary requirements catered for.

If there’s one place I always recommend for lunch in McLaren Vale, it’s Salopian Inn. I have been several times and each seasonal menu is fantastic - the dumplings are a constant on the menu though which you MUST order. Book ahead because they get busy!

With Spring weather creeping in, there are so many jobs to do in our Kitchen Garden.

We are closed today as renovations progress, but our gardener, Sammy, keeps getting produce ready for when we reopen on Wednesday, welcoming guests back to the restaurant.

**THE SALOPIAN INN — MCLAREN VALE** 🍇

The Salopian Inn in McLaren Vale is one of my favourite places for a special occasion. It’s always a delight!

Set in a beautifully restored 1851 homestead on the corner of Main Road in McLaren Vale, this place has a charm that’s hard to describe until you’re sitting in it. Gorgeous rooms, vineyard views, warm light, and a kitchen garden that feeds the menu. Everything is seasonal, everything is local, and everything is made from scratch - you taste that in every bite.

We had chilli dumplings in a rich sauce, kingfish, and a handful of other dishes that came and went too quickly. The underground wine cellar is an experience in itself - browse the extensive collection and pick your own bottle.

Check their website before you go — the seasonal menu is always changing, which is half the reason to keep going back.

We are closed for maintenance and renovations from today until Tuesday 1st September, reopening for lunch on Wednesday 2nd September.

The moment our last guests left after enjoying their Sunday lunch, it was go, go, go for Team Salopian as our bar and kitchen were packed up and removed ready for all trades to start onsite this morning.

We will be sharing snippets each day of the work being undertaken with a reveal as we reopen.

“When it comes into my head, there’s a reason so I do it.”

I hear you girlfriend. South Australia is home to many quirky creative characters and McLaren Vale’s @gailkellettart is one of my favourites.

Attending one of her lino print workshops a few years ago lit a fire in my belly that reminded instilled until this weeks’s workshop at @salopianinn for @fleurieufood festival and @salafestival. I could only stay a couple of hours so missed the inky bit but before I dashed to ‘do deadlines’ her wit and joy moved me once again. Adore you Gail, your talent is astounding and your company even better. Thank you for the vintage jacket. I’ll rock it and do you proud ♥️

Spring and all its abundance is almost upon us, so we are closing our doors to customers for a week to attend to some maintenance and create a little magic around The Salopian Inn.

We are closed for bookings from Monday 24th August until Tuesday 1st September, reopening for lunch on Wednesday 2nd September.

Welcoming guests will be missed during our short break, but the time apart will ensure that Spring and Summer at Salopian will be awesome!
