Aloha, friendos!
It's my birthday coming up, so I thought it would be the perfect time to recruit some talented mates, dig out some plutonium cans from the attic, set the controls to "hyped", and put on a jolly nice bit of music daaaahn the Loaf!

There'll be funky grooves, bouncy choons, and tear-out bangers from across the genrific spectrum. So come have a bop with us!

Lineup: Mat Colegate, Sassy, Atki2 & Charlie Stoic

Fri 9 Oct, The Sugar Loaf, Easton, Bristol from 8pm. Free, everyone welcome. taken in The Sugar Loaf by @sam_atki2

Useless Royals is back at @tothemoonbristol on Friday 2nd October with @d_betas as our special guest 😍

Betas, DJ & Producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷

Deeply connected to Buenos Aires' underground and queer party scene, with roots in Bass and Breakbeat. Betas blends dreamy, disco-infused textures with a sharp House sound and tribal energy.

We've been hammering his track "One That's", which Resident Advisor called “a crushing club stomper that hits the sweet spot between jungle, techno, and noisy electronics." 🔥

@leechesh @sam_atki2 on support duties.

Free entry, 8pm-midnight, best cocktails in town ❤️ by @sam_atki2

Bigger Boat, Jam Jar, 11pm-3am Friday 4th September

I've been invited by @timspencer2 and @olly_sundown to spin some tunes together tomorrow night at the @thejamjar_bristol , a total honour to share the decks with these legends.

Free entry, so very much the post-festival budget option to dance this weekend :) Packing all my best dancehall, garagey house and soca disco (iykyk)

(Tim and I swim at the same pool, so met in the lanes long before we met in the club, haha 🏊) by @sam_atki2

04 SEPT 26 // JAM JAR BRISTOL // 11 - 3am

@_biggerboat join forces with @sam_atki2 for a night of forward thinking dance music, applied with pressure.
@thejamjar_bristol

Atki2 is Bristol-based producer and DJ, who combines uk bass music with Caribbean carnival styles, always bearing his distinctive sound. He’s released records on Idle Hands, Punch Drunk, Actress’s Werk Discs imprint, and his own Swim Club label. Last year’s “Bubble On” album collected his dreamy queer dancehall instrumentals. He co-hosts the weekly Super Soca Show on Bristol radio station Ujima 98FM. Sam often DJs in Bristol and around the UK, and he’s always busy during the festival season, regularly appearing at Shambala, Womad and Glastonbury.

Bigger Boat:
With years of DJ’ing experience between them, in and around Bristol’s venues and airwaves, Tim and Olly set out to change and blend the music they love and share on the dance floor - not sticking to tried and tested old sources, formulas and methods.

Chrissy - The Vibe Is So Right (Atki2 Instrumental Remix)

Previously unreleased remix is out now 🥰

Really happy for this track to get a release! The original version of the remix, featuring MC ZULU on vocals, came out on @planet.mu back in 2011. The instrumental version was a secret weapon that @chrissytrax and I kept back for our own DJ sets. UK Funky Jungle business.

The whole compilation is well worth checking. Feels very special to share a release with @behlingdj, Altered Natives and Little Dragon, plus loads others.
