I don’t really post much anymore, but I don’t know what else to do for my Bros Bday.

To My late brother Joaquin “Guac” Oliver,

Happy birthday. We miss you intensely. Every. Single. Day. You turned 23 today, and instead of us celebrating together with love and laughter here on earth, we are forced to light candles without your bright smile to light up the room. It’s just not right. I write this with a combination of tears, heartbreak, and anger because the world is a terribly dark place without you in it and I am so incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to call you a brother, a friend and personal leader in this lifetime, but so many people won’t have the same luck that I have. A majority of the traits that I am proud to hold are because of your influence. When I lost sight of what’s important, you kept me in check and reminded me. Even spending these last 5 years without you, I still learn new lessons from you all the time.

As a posthumous Activist, you are doing amazing things. But, There are so many incredible things that you were going to do in person, so many lives for you to touch. There is truly no one on this planet like you, not anymore at least. I always called you a best friend, but you are that to so many people simply because of your magnetic personality and amazing heart. Absolutely No one I have met or will ever meet can fill a room with energy like you can. I know you are Balling, laughing and dancing up there, probably clowning me for doing a post like this, but I’ll take it just to spread your greatness, and share how much you are missed. I know you’re here in spirit, But you should be here in person, too. Happy Birthday Guac. I wish we could hug you. We miss you so Fucking much. This was never apart of our plan…

No time with dogs is ever enough, but 8 & 1/2 years is too short. I will always fall short of words describing the impact this girl has had on my family’s life. She was far more than just a dog she was a wave of brightness with such a amazingly kind personality. Diagnosed with cancer, the day after amputation of her leg she was wagging her tail and running around with the other dogs, unbothered. The videos in the end show her in the her last few weeks. Always happy, always wagging her tail. Never did she ever fail to make our lives brighter.

Always a leader, always a queen.
