RECLAIM YOUR CITY 696

Very happy to contribute a set to @ryc.official 's iconic podcast series ❤️.

As RYC told me that they favour the more dynamic sets (which I wholeheartedly agree with), I tried to make it a bit more dynamic with a very slow start and some moments of a bit more rest/dreamyness sprinkled throughout while still keeping it driving and dark.

I've been playing with the idea of creating an album for a while now, so the music I've been making lately has been very ambient-focused and more musical/theatrical. So a few of those in there :).

Hope you like it! taken in Amsterdam, Netherlands by @sama_mxmn

Meet the collectives shaping our ADE rituals. Next is ORPHIC, whose Saturday afternoon curation forms part of ‘Meditation on the Cosmos.’

The theme looks to distance, orbit and the scale of what lies beyond us. Musically, it opens into hypnotic movement, spatial detail and sound that seems to hang in suspension. Repetition becomes a way of losing track of time.

ORPHIC brings a precise, deep-rooted approach to electronic music, with space for texture, tension and detail to unfold slowly. Within ZERØBPM, that sensibility is given room to stretch further. Rhythm softens, atmosphere moves forward, and the room becomes part of the composition.

From 16:30 to 21:00, ORPHIC welcomes AYIM, Hitam and SAMA into De Thomaskerk. AYIM opens at 16:30, Hitam follows with a live performance at 18:00, and SAMA closes the curation from 19:30.

It's releaseday again!

As another collab track with @vntm_live sees the light of day, I want to congratulate my good friend with the opening of his new label @mindscape.audio ❤️

Tom is an incredibly inspiring and humble person to be around. He's someone who always tries his best to support and include everyone, and who has a super professional work-ethic. I'm proud to be part of the journey bro 🫶

FrenzyPodcast 234 - SAMA

SAMA is a DJ and producer from Utrecht, currently based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
SAMA's productions and sets have a signature dark, driving groove, where storytelling always takes centre-stage. Music riddled with small intricacies, a heavy focus on sounddesign and an infinitely perfectionist mindset; a Maximalist approach to a Minimalist sound, if you will. SAMA’s music is a regular for many of the mainstay names in the scene, including Richie Hawtin, Freddy K, Rødhåd, Rene Wise, Marrøn, Cleric, Setaoc Mass, and Sandrien to name a few.

Since 2025 SAMA is a resident at the well-respected ORPHIC events. Next to a string of releases on his own creative outlet Maximalist_Minimalist, he’s had releases and remixes on a handful of well-respected labels including ARTS and WSNWG, with upcoming releases on Clergy and Moving Pressure.

Enjoy!

A look inside our studio process, the making of our new release Cobalt!

Our collaboration isn’t created in a jam session but rather in a meticulous process of stacking layers of sounddesign, discussing the tiniest synth details and geeking out on noise textures.

Cobalt is out now on limited transparent vinyl @tssrct_rec
