Play time.

Been wanting to do theater in NY for a while now. Catch ya boy’s Off-Broadway debut this summer in THE REAL IVANOV, an adaptation of Checkov’s classic with a talented cast & creative team.

A limited run August 17 - September 19 with opening night August 24 at @classicstage (link bio).

As a child you see the man.
As a man you begin to understand the cost.

The weight. The responsibility. Disappointments swallowed. Fears hidden behind a steady face. Dreams postponed on your behalf. Sacrifices made.

Battles fought in silence you had the luxury of never knowing. Tireless. Consistent. Quiet. Too often, thankless.
No applause. No recognition. Just showing up. Again and again.

The older I get, the more grateful I am. For the man I see. Lessons I was taught. Discipline I was given and the example I have to follow.

Happiest of days to every father out there showing up without an audience, providing without recognition, carrying without complaint and loving with actions over than words.

Only God and you will ever know the full price you paid 🙏🏾 taken in Houston, Texas by @samadegoke
