We’re halfway through the year and I haven’t made one single goal besides me the best mom I can be. Since 2018 I’ve been making vision boards and writing down my goals (how I’ll achieve them + when I’ll get there by) and this is the first year I didn’t have the time to. No list of books I’ll read every quarterNo new countries I’d like to travel toNo fitness goals No new hobby I need to start Just be a great mom to my son. At the beginning of the year I thought this wasn’t enough. I thought “Samantha, to be the best mom, you have to do everything and be everything. Be the CEO, the fit mom, the avid reader, the perfect wife, the best friend, the best daughter, the traveler, and so on.”But as time goes on and I AM being the best mom, I realize to do that, I actually can’t be everything all at the same time.This season of my life is about being a mom. “Just” a mom. My season before Benji was all about ME and achieving one million and one goals on my list.But the most important goal on that list? Having a sweet baby. The other goals are still there. I’m still a CEO, I still read when I can, work out when I can, etc. but they’re just not as important as this.This goal right here will forever be my greatest achievement. by @samanthalphillips_

Happy 6th birthday to the boy that made me a mama. 💙Having this angel by my side the last 6 years has without a doubt made being a mama to a human baby absolutely effortless.Bear has taught me selflessness, resilience, hope, faith, patience, hard work, dropping everything at the drop of a pin to run to him (I left a work trip in MIA because of his seizures), and a love so big it’s all consuming. Having a seizure baby has not been easy, and a lot people said to let him go at the beginning. I’m so glad I didn’t listen. This baby boy is my absolute world.To 1 million more years with you Bear. And even that won’t be enough. 🥹 by @samanthalphillips_

In May I went through one of the toughest moments of my life.But also this month there was SO much beauty, so many perfect moments, so much to be grateful for.• Benji’s first trip on a plane• NYC for work • Moved to Newport • My first Mother’s Day spent with family • 3 back to back events for @twentyeightevents • Ate so much good food (breastfeeding has me hungry always)• Spent lots of time outdoors (Benj loveeees trees)• Benji’s first parade • Hung out with friends & famIt was always wild to me that horrible moments and beautiful moments can coexist in the same month, but ever since having Benji, they can coexist in the same hour. He brings me the kind of joy I never knew was possible. His smile makes my cheeks hurt, his laugh gives me butterflies, his new milestones show me even the littlest moments can be the biggest, and being there for him gives me purpose. ❤️ by @samanthalphillips_

A bittersweet moment today. We are saying goodbye to Arizona and our cute, cozy, perfect home. The place where we fell in love, had our wedding, and brought our baby home to. I purchased this home in 2021 as a retreat for myself, never thinking I’d build a family in it. Now, it feels as though it’s time to move on. Is it sad? Yes. Is it scary? Yes. Could it be forever? Yes. Could we come back and miss it? Yes. It’s wild and it was something that happened way too fast but in my heart I know it’s necessary. Every decision I’ve made in my life, any time fear tries to creep in, I remember this quote:“What if it doesn’t work out? Ah, but what if it does?”Now, where to? 👀 by @samanthalphillips_
