STOP GUESSING, START TRAINING WITH DATA 📊

Are you trying to lose body fat, build lean muscle, or improve your athletic performance? The key to better results isn’t always training harder. It’s understanding how YOUR body works.

At Life Time Brea, we will begin offering two metabolic assessments designed to help you take a more personalized approach to your fitness and nutrition.

🏃🏾 ACTIVE METABOLIC ASSESSMENT (AMA)

This assessment measures how your body uses oxygen, carbohydrates, and fat for energy during exercise.

Your results help us identify:
-Your personalized heart rate zones
-Your aerobic base and anaerobic threshold
-Your VO₂ max and cardiovascular fitness
-How to structure cardio for fat loss, endurance, and performance

😴 RESTING METABOLIC ASSESSMENT (RMA)

This assessment measures how your body uses energy while at rest.

Your results help us understand:
-How many calories your body burns at rest
-How your body uses fat and carbohydrates for fuel
-Your baseline metabolism (BMR)
-How to better personalize nutrition and recovery strategies

Less guessing. More personalized coaching.

📍 Coming soon to Life Time Brea by @samarlavaughn

32 years in,
Still becoming everything I told myself I could be.
More life. More Actions, Less Distractions.
More purpose. More to accomplish.
Cheers to Chapter 32. 🎂 by @samarlavaughn

Being this active means hydration can’t be an afterthought.

Between track practice, lifting, coaching, and everything else I have going on, I’m constantly asking my body to perform.

If I’m not replacing what I’m losing throughout the day, eventually my performance is going to fall behind.

So I stay on top of my water intake before, during, and after training. 💧

Train hard. Recover harder. Stay hydrated with @EternalWater by @samarlavaughn

DM me to get started by @samarlavaughn

14 years ago I got certified as a personal trainer because I loved fitness and wanted to understand the science behind what I’m doing.

I had no idea where that decision would take me.

What started with learning how to train clients became a career built around fitness, health and human performance.

I’ve had the opportunity to coach people through hundreds of sessions, help clients change their bodies and improve their performance, work alongside some incredible fitness professionals, and eventually work my way from trainer to Fitness Manager leading departments, building teams, and mentoring other trainers as they built their own careers.

And somehow, 14 years later I’m still learning.

Still coaching.
Still training.
Still an athlete myself.
Still finding new ways to get better at what I do.

Fitness has given me more than a career. It’s given me a life that genuinely revolves around something I love. by @samarlavaughn

I am not going to lie, I survived off French fries and salmon this whole trip. Damn near died… but the food at Qulture brought me back to life!

Before I left, I told one of my clients Max, that I’d be out of town from late July to early August. He asked where are you going? The second I said Thailand, he told me, “You HAVE to go to Qulture.” He was so adamant about it that he literally checked in with me during the trip to make sure I went. 😂

Max… you were right!

When I say this was some of the best food I’ve had in a LONG time, I mean it.

The flavor. 🔥
The portions. 🤌🏾
The service. 👏🏾
Everything was on point!

We originally stopped by for a late lunch, and the food was so good that my whole family left with more food to take home for dinner.

After days of French fries and salmon, Qulture got me right.

If you take a trip to Thailand and come back without visiting Qulture, you failed the trip. I don’t make the rules 🤷🏽‍♂️

★★★★★
10/10 and HIGHLY recommend.

Thank you Qulture! by @samarlavaughn
