👑 The samba pro freestyle category means interpreting the live drums as you hear them. I watch this video back and cringe at parts (more hips please gf!! and way too many side lunges 😂) but it’s what comes out in the moment. All the different moves you train hard for then just end up doing the same few 😝 but my goal was always to train so hard that I could look and feel comfortable on stage - to feel so in tune with the drums that I could relax and HAVE FUN! ✔️✔️

I had a blast up there and I’m so grateful the incredible judges felt that too and crowned me the Rainha do Samba 👑🥹🙏 I could feel and see you smiling back at me and it truly felt joyous ❤️ Muito Obrigada!!!

A HUGE thank you to my support crews for the pep talks, beautiful words and cheering so loud for me!!

I’m so grateful to my mentor and fellow Queen @mikaelacastro4 for sharing all of your knowledge, passion and heart with me on this journey - You inspire me endlessly and I couldn’t have done it without you!! ❤️ And to @sambaliscious for continuing to create these incredible opportunities for us to learn samba, explore Brazilian culture and be part of a sisterhood. You are a powerhouse! 🙏

Top scores as always to @lucassaad and @sambavibes + @bloco3k for being an absolute vibe, drumming hard and bringing the party!!! 🥁🥁🥁🤘🏽

Now to absorb all the new learnings from the @australasiansambacompetition workshops. The journey never ends 🤭
