If you’re looking for somewhere to visit in the cooler months, this charming small town in Mexico is a wonderful choice. The weather is still warm (but pack a light jacket for cool nights) and crowds have thinned after Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) festivities.

Here are 3 things to do in San Miguel de Allende:

Grab a flavorful rooftop brunch overlooking the the town’s color-washed buildings at Inside Cafe.

Stroll the cobbled streets of zona centro (the city’s center) and make a stop at Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel—it’s pink spires are unmissable.

Visit Parque Benito Juárez and shop from local artisans selling handmade jewelry, paintings, sculptures & more.

San Miguel de Allende can be visited as a stand-alone trip or as an add-on from Mexico City.

Cape Town’s landscape is something special. ⁣

Located just across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco, Oakland is a worthy stop on any visit to the Bay Area. Here are 3 things you can enjoy when visiting Oakland:⁣

1. Stop by Top Up Tea for boba teas on your way to the the Alameda Beach Boardwalk to catch sunset over the beach. ⁣
⁣
2. Grab a delicious brunch at Kitchen Story, an Asian-fusión restaurant in the charming Rockridge neighborhood. I recommend their Lemon Ricotta pancakes & Millionaire’s Bacon. ⁣
⁣
3. Rent a bike, or opt to walk around Lake Merritt, (there’s usually live music playing from the Pergola on weekends) and stop for a meal and drinks at Lake Chalet’s outdoor patio overlooking the lake.⁣

Barcelona is my favorite European country I’ve visited so far. I love Spanish food, Gaudi’s whimsical architecture, and the maze-like alleys that encourage you to wander through churrerías and cafes, art galleries and tapas bars. ⁣

Here are three things to do in Barcelona:

1. Visit Parque Guell & enjoy the colorful mosaic and unique architectural style that Spanish designer Antoni Gaudí was known for. ⁣
