HELD IT DOWN. PASSED IT ON. 🫡👨🏾‍🏫 ♦️ What an incredible privilege and honor to present at the 2026 Cornerstone Summit for Young Men a few weeks back. With my Kappa Alpha Psi brothers attending a leadership conference, I was the only Kappa presenting 🤷🏾‍♂️ so I had to hold it down! 😎🎥👌🏾 The biggest blessing? I picked up TWO mentees from this event—and didn’t even realize they were brothers because they rotated into my sessions separately. 🙏🏾 Moments like this remind me why I do this work. You can’t be what you can’t see. I’ve always believed in showing up authentically—representing who I am, where I’m from, and what I’ve been able to accomplish—to show young men that they are capable of more than they may currently believe. I’m grateful for the opportunity to pour into the next generation, and I’m even more hopeful about the young men I met and the greatness ahead of them. The work continues. The legacy continues. Achievement in every field of human endeavor. 💎 #CornerstoneSummit #KappaAlphaPsi #Mentorship #YoungMen #QFL @saffoldlaw @pickvisports taken in Round Rock, Texas by @sameolsix

From walking, driving, and catching the bus through the South-Side, to mentoring the next generation of leaders who will truly become My Brother’s Keeper—these streets made me who I am. Being from Chicago means understanding the hustle, the heart, and the history written into our neighborhoods. So to have a family member serve as an initial member of the Obama Center and Obama Foundation? That’s not just a milestone; that’s a full-circle moment. We were blessed to get an exclusive, pre-opening tour of the Obama Presidential Center before it officially opens its doors tomorrow. Bringing my family, my kids, and my mother-in-law to see this groundbreaking foundation felt monumental. Looking at exhibits like “Finding Purpose” and standing before this stunning architecture wasn’t just about celebrating history—it was about inspiring my children to lean forward into what *can be*. From the replica Oval Office desk to the brand-new Chicago Public Library branch on-site, we are officially woven into the fabric of this legacy. Tomorrow, history opens to the world right here on the South Side. Let’s build. 👑✨ #ObamaCenter #ObamaFoundation #ChicagoSouthSide #MyBrothersKeeper #ChicagoHistory taken in Barack Obama Presidential Center by @sameolsix

Them Federal court days be like… For those that don’t understand, being a licensed attorney is not the final hurdle for practicing law. You often have to be admitted into certain courts of practice. These include state courts, county courts, and federal courts. Specifically for federal courts, you often need a certain level of experience along with referral letters from other attorneys barred within the federal bar. It’s with great appreciation and honor to be licensed in all federal districts of Texas, including, right here in the capital of Austin and the Western District of Texas. taken in Federal Courthouse for the Western District of Texas - Austin Division by @sameolsix

Still inspired from an incredible night ✨ Honored to attend the inaugural Austin Black Lawyers Association Gala and officially cement myself into the fabric of this powerful, growing community of black lawyers in Austin. I was just admitted to the Texas bar this past April and I’ve been intentional about hitting the ground running, networking, building, and showing up. ABLA represents everything I value: excellence, service, and transformation. As an Illinois licensed attorney, and true Chicagoan, community work has always been central to my journey. Being able to continue and expand that work in Austin feels aligned and energizing. Excited for what’s ahead, growth, opportunities, and serving the people of Austin. 🖤⚖️ #ABA #AustinBlackLawyers #ATXLaw #BlackExcellence #saffoldlaw #SaffoldLawGroup #WelcometotheFold #LGTM #6squire #NewBeginnings #CommunityFirst taken in Courtyard by Marriott Austin Downtown/Convention Center by @sameolsix
