Dear @eastmeadow_xctf

Writing this post is a day I’d never thought would come, as a kid that joined to stay in shape for basketball to then fully dedicating myself to xctf was one of the best decisions I have ever made, these last 4 years have been a blessing and some of the greatest years of my life. I am forever thankful for all of my coaches for supporting me over the years and making the team what it is today. I want to give a special thanks to Coach Ring who never gave up on me throughout my career and was always someone I could talk to about anything. Coach Ring always took chances on me and was one of the few people who never lost faith in me. Most importantly I want to say thank you to all of my teammates for making my experience something I will never forget, all of the memories and laughs we shared throughout the years are things I will forever cherish and are things I value way more than any time or award. I could not be the person and athlete I am today without my teammates pushing me to be better and sticking by my side, you guys are the main reason why I hold these past 4 years so closely to me and why I decided to stay throughout all of my injuries when I wanted to walk away from the sport, all of the practices when I felt down and would keep myself isolated from everyone, I would leave laughing and with a smile on my face and that’s all thanks to you guys and all of the dumb jokes and memories we made😂. I truly cannot express how thankful I am for all of my teamates and my coaches for making these past 4 years some of the best years of my life. Although I didn’t accomplish all of my goals and couldn’t do much my final year because of the injuries, I am still very blessed to have been one of your captains and I’m grateful for all that I’ve faced throughout my time here because it’s shaped me into the person I am today and provided me with so many lessons I can pass on to others.
