Why did I decide to become an emotional eating coach?

Why have I wrote a book on it?

And why do I put on in person events so people can learn the very strategies I teach my clients how to crack the problem around overeating habits?

Well….

In a world full of fake influencer BS, ai and social media, quick fixes and none stop lies?

People deserve THE TRUTH about why they struggle.

I have the hard conversations people are often unwilling to have because it’s uncomfortable….

But it’s these hard conversations that’s allow us to dig deeper and get the ROOT of the issue when it comes to eating habits.

Thats why I do what I do šŸ™

Ps- Huge thanks to @anth_expansionsco and @kirsty_expansionsco for the amazing support behind the scenes of our last event šŸŽ™ļøšŸš€

My mission in 2026 is to revolutionise the ā€œweight loss industryā€.

The weight loss industry is built on confusion, overwhelm, and a revolving door system that is keeping people stuck!

If this industry is set to almost DOUBLE in revenue in the next 10 years to almost 900 BILLION (yes that’ a B)

Then changing the broken system makes no sense to those in positions of power.

Quick fixes that keep people in a state of relapse, disordered eating, high food noise, and yoyo dieting is what FUELS this industry.

This all comes down to the fact 99% of the weight loss industry is about treating the symptoms (overeating) and not solving the ROOT (relationship with food)

That’s why I’m here. Why I wrote my book. My I created my online assessment ā€œthe why you overeat quizā€.

Awareness around your own individual patterns of triggers. Emotions and behaviours around food is VITAL if you want to get long term sustainable results.

Blindly following a plan or a diet that is designed to treat the symptoms without awareness your specific root causes is like a doctor putting a caste on his patients arm even though they have a broken leg….

A doctor assesses the problem. Find the root. Treats the cause. Heals the entire thing.

This is how I coach people personal and 1:1.

And it all starts of by taking our assessment. It’s free. Personalised and takes 3 minutes for instant results.

Use the QR CODE. Or comment / dm me šŸ“²the word ā€œQUIZā€ and I will send you the link to get started.

Overwhelmed by ā€œthe best diet to followā€?

Do this instead.

I audit my clients’ diets every single week.

And here’s the first simple step I take, so they lose weight on easy mode:

Stop calling them breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Call them eating windows, and time them around three things:

Hunger.
Time.
Your emotional eating danger windows.

One client isn’t hungry in the morning, but she’s ravenous by lunch if she skips breakfast.

Another has had chocolate before bed her whole life, and when she tried to remove it, she’d binge.

The fix wasn’t a stricter rule.

It was a plan built around her body, with the sweet thing strategised in advance.

No guilt. No shame. No winging it.

Data. Over. Drama.

It’s so easy to use food as a coping mechanism… but NOBODY talks about this….

There’s a huge stigma when it comes to emotional eating. Most people emotionally eat. They just don’t want to admit it.

Admitting emotional eating means having to acknowledge using food for emotional reasons.

People don’t wanna do that ( I never either) as it forces you to ask those deep questions that hit you right in the feels…

Swipe through to read what’s REALLy going on when it comes to emotional eating šŸ‘‰

Ps/ want some personal support with this? This is what my 1:1 90 day program was created for šŸ™ DM ME the word ā€œCOACHINGā€ šŸ“²for more details. taken in South Shields, Upon Tyne, UK by @samgibsonlimitless

I caught myself doing the exact thing I’d tell a client not to do: trying to do all of it at once.

That’s what losing weight looks like for most of the women I’ve worked with.

One diet says cut carbs.

A podcast says fast.

TikTok says something different by Tuesday.

Overwhelm city, and the binge-restrict cycle keeps happening.

The people I help don’t need more confusion.

They need noise-canceling headphones that reveal the exact roadmap to follow.

That’s the Overeating Recovery Blueprint. A 90-day roadmap, step by step, with me as your coach, 1:1.

On your journey of healthy sustainable weight loss

This part of often overlooked as it’s not ā€œsexy and excitingā€

But it is always step 1

Before you lose weight. You have to STOP GAINING IT

That means you have to STOP overeating before any weight loss happens…

Agree ? Or disagree ?

Let me know in the comments below šŸ‘‡

I gave up a physique I spent a decade building because I finally accepted I could no longer hold myself to the same standard I once did.

And if I continued to? I would mentally burn myself out. Something had to give…

This will happen to us all at some stage in our life.

Maybe it’s kids. Maybe it’s menopause. Maybe your whole work-life balance changed. That’s not a moral failure, it’s just life.

Mine was lockdown, my entire career path changing, and a little bit of an identity crisis in between 🤪

I cringe at my former bodybuilder self. Anyone know how to erase history ? Lemme know 🫣

But One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned: there is never a perfect plan or solution. Only trade-offs.

Swipe to see mine šŸ‘‰

So pressure off. Embrace the new chapter. But don’t use it as an excuse to quit. It’s more of a pivot and a restructure. Not quitting.

What trade-off do you need to make? What circumstances do you need to accept? What pressure do you need to take off yourself?

Only you know….

I say this to my clients all the time

ā€œThe power is in the reframe ā€œ

The thing with emotional eating ?

It happens. To some degree ? WE ALL COMFORT EAT

It’s so easy to grab some junk food when you’ve had a busy day and your exhausted

It really is , and I think we all do it

The ā€œdamage is done howeverā€

When you create ā€œguilt and shameā€ for what you ate

So much so ? You end up CARRYING IT OVER into the next day or week ā€œbecause you think you’ve failedā€.

(that’s what causes the weight gain and binge eating behaviours)

Binge eating is ONLY when you decide to carry it on…

If you don’t carry it on ?

You simply ā€œoverateā€

and you can try again the next meal / day

BIG DIFFERENCE

Take the drama out of it

As it’s the emotonal drama in your head of

ā€œI’ve ruined it. I may as well carry onā€

ā€œI’ve failed today. I may as well give up nowā€

ā€œWhat’s the point. I will never be able to stick to this. I may as well quitā€

It’s this mindset ^

That’s keeps you STUCK as an emotional eater in the binge cycle

But if you accept you’re gonna have to phase this cycle out over time

And you do this every single time you ā€œovereatā€

by simply asking yourself how are you going to respond to this ?

Are you gonna shame and guilt yourself into more overeating?

Or are you going ā€œreframe itā€ as a lesson learned , and experience to come back from

And try again. Tomorrow. Blank canvas ?

You can do this you know

But NOT if you keep putting pressure on yourself to be perfect

You will stay stuck

unless you are able to reframe your emotional eating as a work in progress and something you can learn to respond better to

You’re the one in control here

NOT FOOD !

Ps/ I have a few spots left to work with clients 121 inside my 90 day program. From Nov 1st the price will go up by 50%, last few October slots remaining at the current rate.

The best part of my job as being a coach ??

Is witnessing the ā€œbreakthroughsā€ my clients have, when they realise they are ā€œnot actually brokenā€

Or doomed to be stuck with struggling with their eating habits forever.

They simply had ā€œlimiting beliefsā€ that they had picked up from ā€œdiet cultureā€ over the past years

Which had left them confused and not knowing how to deal with the constant pressure they put themselves under

Things like as

ā€œgood and bad foodsā€

ā€œNo eating after 6pmā€

ā€œCarbs are bad ā€œ

ā€œFruit has too much sugarā€

ā€œFat make you fatā€

These beliefs simply create confusion around food and add to the already existing ā€œpressureā€ so many people feel when it comes to how they should eat and how they should look.

Which inevitably leads to the ā€œscrew itā€ mindset and mindless eating to soothe the feelings of pressure of confusion.

Seeing that pressure ease off and dissipate, and watching my clients start to create food freedom so they can enjoy things like holidays, birthdays, or social occasions without overwhelm.

This the most rewarding part of my job.

If you want to create food freedom and drop 1-2 stone by Christmas ?

Dm me the word ā€œCoachingā€

Let’s end the binge cycle and smash through these limiting beliefs so you can enjoy Christmas with FOOD FREEDOM šŸ§ šŸ™ by @samgibsonlimitless

After coaching 2000+ people on their eating habits

I have seen some incredible transformations.

But the one thing that I see time and time again

Which separates those who transform their lives for good

Versus people who keep going around in circles

Is the fact that if you are NOT EXCITED for your life

You probably won’t ā€˜stick to your diet’

And the people who I have helped who transformed?

They genuinely had a life they started to love

They made things happen.

They played a bigger game.

They created a sense of community.

They felt supported

They pushed themselves to try new things.

They had hobbies that they could look forward to

They aimed to have fun goals to work towards in the future that excited them.

They booked trips and planned adventures.

They made sure they were NEVER BORED!

Losing weight and keeping it off for good

Requires you to work on other areas of your life AS WELL as your diet..

Without that?

Weight loss alone tends to be ā€˜boring’......

and too difficult to stick to

When clients of mine start thinking about the life they WANT

And how weight loss can help them move towards that life

Rather than simply focusing on losing weight just for the sake of it

You tend to see more motivation and incentive to stick to a goal.

If youve got nothing to get out of bed for?

Why would you get out of bed…

Just saying… taken in South Shields, Upon Tyne, UK by @samgibsonlimitless

A new client of mine was freaking out.

She had a week of parties and a family meal out, and she was worried she was ā€œgoing to ruin her progress that weekā€.

She was even thinking of ā€œquitting that week because what’s the pointā€ā€¦ her words.
So I showed her the maths.

The average person eats 3 x per day. That’s 21 x per week.

She had 4 occasions that week. 4 out of 21 is about 19%.

That left 81% of the week to make good choices.

80% on track is better than convincing yourself you’re 0% on track.

I call this my data over drama weight loss system.

After 9 years of coaching over 2000 people, I’ve learned that being ā€œafraidā€ of losing progress is what causes people to lose progress.

One meal out turns into ā€œI’ve already had one bad day, I may as well keep eating crap until next weekā€, and that’s the all-or-nothing trap.

You don’t need to be perfect 30 days out of 30. You need to be on it for about 18-25 days, with a few days of wiggle room.

The mindset shift:
ā€Øā€œI can have the thing I fancy. I’ll have it in one window, instead of a meal, and then I’m back to normal at the next one.ā€

No guilt. No ā€œstart again tomorrow.ā€

Want to lose 1-2 stone AND end the all-or-nothing cycle by Christmas?
