Mom update! I’ve made the important decision to remove photos and videos that show my children’s faces from my social media.

As the internet changes, and especially as AI continues to evolve and become more of a threat to our children’s safety, I’ve realized that I want their faces, their childhood, and eventually their digital identities to belong to them.

I’ll still share motherhood reels and photos. I’ll still share our adventures, the beautiful chaos, the little hands and cowboy boots and all the moments I love documenting. You’ll just see them a little differently now.

They’re absolutely the biggest part of my life. They just don’t need to be the biggest part of the internet. It does make me very sad to have to remove all of the reels and content I have worked hard on and created over the years, and there is not much to my Instagram now since having deleted everything. But, I know going forward I can post motherhood reels while also keeping my children safe. That is what matters.

A few of the things I hear most since becoming a mom…

“You’re so different now.”
“You’re not fun anymore.”
“Being a mom is your whole personality.”

And respectfully… I hope I’ve changed.

I didn’t bring two little lives into this world just to remain exactly who I was before them.

Motherhood didn’t take me away from myself.
