The QUEER CLASSICS series is still surviving, but it needs your help to keep going! I chose the legendary PARIS IS BURNING to screen on International LGBT+ Pride day, June 28, a commemoration of the date the first brick was thrown at Stonewall, and a year later the date of the first PRIDE in NYC, Chicago and L.A.

Please share with anyone you know and come see this in the theatre where it belongs to show off the amazing ppl who bravely and fabulously share their stories in this film.

QUEER CLASSICS starts this Sunday!! Ticket link in my bio.

I’ve been wanting to create a regular film series to bring the films of the past, made and/or loved by the queers who came before us (no pun intended), to the queers of today. And now it’s happening!! Starting this Sunday @thenewparkway in Oakland, I’ll be hosting the first QUEER CLASSIC, starting with a great treasure about the gift of chosen family and living life to the fullest; from the late 1950’s, AUNTIE MAME.

I’ve always done this in some way throughout my life, as have many LGBTQIA+ ppl before me; inviting close friends to my humble abode to share the films we should all remember and celebrate, in a welcoming and protected space. It’s wonderful to bring this concept to a theatre where movies were meant to be seen. Come join the party, and dress up in fabulous style too. We’re all family here! taken in Berkeley, California by @samiracles
