Wir kommen mit einer Herzensangelegenheit auf euch zu. Wir finden, in der Schweizer Fotografielandschaft werden immer wieder dieselben normativen Geschichten reproduziert, in denen queere Menschen, Frauen, Bipoc, Menschen mit Behinderung und generell Menschen, die sich abseits unserer gesellschaftlichen Normen bewegen, nur wenig Raum erhalten. Raum, in dem sie meist durch eine patriarchale, koloniale und kapitalistische Linse betrachtet werden. Wir finden, es ist Zeit, dass alle Geschichten erzählt werden! Dabei kommst du ins Spiel. We’re reaching out to you with a project close to our hearts. We believe that the Swiss photography scene continues to reproduce the same normative narratives, leaving little room for queer people, women, BIPOC, people with disabilities, and anyone whose experiences fall outside society’s norms. And when these stories are told, they are often viewed through a patriarchal, colonial, and capitalist lens.
We believe it’s time for all stories to be told!
And that’s where you come in. Support us through our crowdfunding campaign and help make Tender Photo’s first year, 2027, a reality!

I had the pleasure of contributing to this amazing reader with a photo series for the first chapter “Getting Ready” on the theme “Stay Safe.”
🌟
Image details: Shoes — for running, just in case. Keys — always ready in hand on the way home, for self-defense. Hair tied back and tucked into the jacket — so no one can grab it. Pepper spray — within easy reach in the pocket. The “I’m on my way home” message — I’ll text when I’m safe. A drink cover disguised as a scrunchie — worn on the wrist. Flashlight — to shine into someone’s eyes in an emergency. Water — to stay aware and in control.

Highly recommend checking out the reader — it’s full of beautiful texts and includes a nice glossary.
Grateful to have been part of this project.
