The @centrealbertanker is an artist house and museum that makes the life and work of Albert Anker accessible to the public within the context of international art. The accompanying catalogue to the temporary exhibition “Fascination with Japan. The Collection of Albert Anker” sheds light on a previously unknown group of Japanese works on paper from the Centre’s own collection.

For the 35th anniversary of the architectural practice @buerobarchitekten we designed a publication showcasing all major projects realised between 1990 and 2025. The project IDs, foil-debossed on linen, form a strong visual identity on the cover. The project pages, consisting of project data, descriptive texts, architectural drawings, plans, and photographs, are carefully arranged in a clear, structured layout. Photographs by @florian.spring document the bureau’s workspace and everyday working life in a dedicated photo series, while imagery spanning 35 years frames the content as a visual bracket printed on the endpapers.

The book was awarded Excellent Work at the Tokyo Type Directors Club Annual Award 2026.

The 160-page exhibition catalogue mirrors the arrangement of artworks across the museum’s rooms, each separated by colour. Every room is dedicated to a specific theme or era and shows connections between iconic works and those by Franz Gertsch, resulting in a dialogue between them.
