An unforgettable and cherished moment of my lifetime. by @samitacuriouscook_

Thank u @my.kolkata for the wonderful article. by @samitacuriouscook_

It was a truly wonderful experience curating and presenting an Undivided Bengal lunch for 3,000 guests at Microsoft Bangalore today.
The menu celebrated the depth and diversity of our culinary heritage — from desi dim er chop, bouya bhat, and mach makha bhapa, to tetul rangalur chutney, Sorail er rajbhog, and Roselle jam sandesh. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared to reflect the authenticity, seasonality, and soul of rural Bengal.
I am deeply humbled and grateful for this opportunity, and I extend my sincere thanks to the entire Compass Group Team for their seamless collaboration and support in bringing this vision to life. by @samitacuriouscook_

How deeply must someone love another person to part with such precious family heirlooms? These moulds, nearly 120 years old, belonged to the collections of her mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law, lovingly preserved through generations. That she chose to send them to me is an expression of affection and trust that I can only receive with immense gratitude and reverence.

I have never seen moulds depicting human faces like these. If any of you have come across such moulds before, please do let me know.

Through the glass, I find myself looking into that room again and again. The scattered piano, microphones, and musical instruments—this was the room where dawn once broke to the immortal voice of Birendra Krishna Bhadra, the voice that announced, Maa is coming.

Today, I return to Akashvani once again, carrying with me the Nakshi Kantha of our culinary traditions—stories of humble kitchens, scattered memories, and recipes woven together with threads of time.

by @samitacuriouscook_

On the road again… chasing forgotten flavours, untold food stories, and the little kitchens where traditions still breathe. 🌾

Every journey has a story. Mine always begins with food.

On this auspicious day of Kojagari Lakshmi Pujo, in our little mofussil town, a beautiful old tradition still lives on. Once the pujo is over, families lovingly arrange plates of offerings and send them from home to home, sharing blessings, warmth, and a sense of togetherness.

Some traditions quietly keep the soul of our roots alive.
