Kid-Tributor Days have always been special for @overflowchurchtn , but they hit a little different when you have a kid. Roman is technically too young to participate, but every now and then you’ve gotta pull the pastor card, break the rules and put that gift of talking to work early😂

Getting to help lead out the Grassroots Soybean Festival Parade with the “See You at the Bean” float alongside @sammgallien and Roman was really, really special.

There’s something incredible about watching a community come together and decide, “We’re going to make something great happen here DESPITE the unfortunate circumstances of the recent past.”

Seeing the streets filled tonight while the parade rolled through town (and knowing how many hours of work have gone into making this entire week possible) made me a little emotional.

It was also especially cool getting to celebrate the Weldon family tonight, with Miss Janie Weldon serving as Grand Marshal! With this year’s festival taking place in Virginia Weldon Park and the recent cleanup day at the C.E. Weldon Building downtown, it was incredibly fitting. And getting to walk alongside the @rock.n.roll.reverend himself, @bradyweldon (a Martin legend, a West TN preaching legend, and one of @overflowchurchtn’s overseers) made it even better😂🤘🏼

MASSIVE MASSIVE MASSIVE credit to @johnsellersruns, @martinscoffeeandbakery, & @cougpear, and this entire team of festival directors who have worked their butts off to make all of this happen. Tonight we got to actually SEE all of that work begin to pay off.

I’m honored to get to play a small part in it all. I’m proud of this community. And I’m so excited for everything still ahead this week — especially Faith & Family Night on Thursday!

9 YEARS MARRIED TODAY❤️
8/26/17 is the day that changed everything!

Started our anniversary weekend celebration by bringing Rome to the Obion County Fair (IYKYK @overflowchurchtn)

Probably the greatest summer vacation our little family has ever had☀️

The second half of our PCB trip was spent with my Dad’s side of the family, and between roasting marshmallows, endless golf cart rides, loads of ice cream, pool days, beach days, and simply enjoying one another’s company, we made memories we’ll be talking about for years. LOVE ALL YOU GALLIENS AND OTHER FAM AND FRIENDS!

It was also such a gift to reconnect with friends we don’t get to see nearly enough. Huge thanks to @albright_chris & @kelialbright for, once again, opening your home to us with incredible generosity. @daniel_barnett_ , your and Tayllor’s new home is gorgeous! @sydneymiller12, thank you and your sis (and Aubrey) for making the trip just to spend time with us. That meant more than you know.

One of the biggest surprises of the week was getting a last-second invitation from Pastor @pastorjoshuagay to preach at Movement Conference. What an unexpected honor and one I’ll always be grateful for. You too, @garrettmorlan

@sammgallien and I couldn’t have enjoyed this trip more, and Roman absolutely lived his best life. We usually enjoy getting back home after vacation, but this time was different. The first half of our PCB adventure is officially in the books, and I honestly don’t know if we’ve ever had a better start to a summer trip as a family.

We got COOKED in the sun, hunted crabs, spotted dolphins, snagged some family pics, got in some good workouts (including one with my buddy Patrick), and ended it by stopping by @highpraisepc to catch up with Pastor @casey_doss and @pastorjoshuagay (Roman was acting a fool😂).

Now we’re rolling straight into part two of the trip with my dad’s side of the family, and if it’s anything like the first half, we’re in for something special. I’ll check back in a few days with another update, but for now… we’re just soaking up every minute. ☀️🌊❤️ taken in Panama City Beach, Florida by @sammgallien
