Just found this in the archive of things I never posted! From an incredible night in Yerevan last October with my brother @tigranhamasyan and the awesome @armandrumzz. Thank you @inessa.avagyan for sending the video! Big shout out to @bardicaudiodevices for that sick distortion.

A little bass time on @kane_mathis new record, Geminus, which is out on Bandcamp now. Kane plays Kora and Oud on the record and is equally virtuosic and musical on both instruments. His compositions are intimate and engaging. A lot of groove in that man!

@mrsunshinebeam John Hadfield on the Himalayan Boiled Snail Shell Shakera, foot triggered of course. I always joke about the instruments he brings, tho he's killing it all over this record!!

One of my favorite people in the world to work with, and an incredible bass player, @johndavisnyc absolutely gorgeous recording and mix.

@alexdeturk As always, a beautiful job mastering.

All done at @bunkerstudio in Brooklyn, NYC.

We hope you enjoy this record! taken in The Bunker Studio by @samminaie

Honored and proud to have mixed DoYeon Kim's @doyeonmusic debut record "Wellspring." She is truly a creative and emotional powerhouse and it's safe to say nothing sounds like this. Her music reminds me so much of the 90s downtown creative music scene that motivated me to move to NYC.

Her virtuosic performance (Gayageum), powerful vocals, and thoughtful compositions are intensified by a sick band, @manerimat , @henry__fraser , and @dr.tyshawnsorey_official.

Hollywood Bowl to Radio City last week with @jasonrobertbrownstagram and #thelastfiveyears . Absolutely stunning performances by @rachelzegler and @bensplatt . And no doubt right back into it with a group of musicians I've spent way too many hours with, and would spend way more too many hours with; @hwei.music @mariaoim addacadabra @kenjameskubota @cello_brown2294 #hidayathonari @jamiedonaldeblen

Deep and heartfelt thanks to Jason and @tomoakaboshi for digging me out to be a part of this.

And last thanks to my favorite two things in the world, in the last picture, for letting me leave for a bit.

(Oh! And double thanks to @kenjameskubota for letting me steal some of his pics, and @jamiedonaldeblen for the bowl pic!)

It was only two cities but I’m still calling it our Florida tour because I did drive the whole band from Ft Lauderdale to Orlando in a van like Shirley Jones in The Partridge Family so it was definitely a tour. And it is still amazing to me after all these years that I get to ask these masterful artists to get on a stage (or in a van) with me and play my music, and then audiences actually show up to hear that happen, and on top of all that, it’s joyful and inspiring and creative and fulfilling in all the ways. Thank you to the folks at @browardcenter and @judsonslive for bringing our large chaotic assemblage into your beautiful theaters, and my eternal gratitude to whatever force in the universe brought me into contact with @jamiedonaldeblen , @alisonshearersax , @samminaie , Hiddy Honari, and the real Miracle Sisters, @nasiathomas and @carriestlouis . by @samminaie

New single by @thecourtatversailles. Incredibly stoked to work on this record for pianist Joel Pierson @no.juan_no.juay. Produced by Eric Palmquist @palmquist_studios and Kevin Ponto @kevinponto (also wonderfully mixed by Eric). I played bass and mastered the record, my dude John Hadfield @mrsunshinebeam on drums. More music coming soon! by @samminaie
