October’s Very Own, +1🎈- WORLD MAJOR ✌️🏅🏅
CHICAGO YOU OWE ME NOTHING! THANK YOU FOR AN UNFORGETTABLE MARATHON.

What an unforgettable way to celebrate my birthday week. Tackling such a tough race completely on my own in a massive city for the first time felt daunting. But right when I needed it most, a phone call from my mom telling me how much she loved me pushed me across the finish line. My family was my “why.”

It’s been a hard year, full of losses that turned into lessons. Through it all, I’ve learned one absolute truth: always choose yourself. I went into this race with a single thought keeping me moving forward—my dreams weren’t the ones I was chasing. They were chasing me.

With Love,

Hi Friends!
I am so happy to be running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on behalf of the Chicago Coalition to End Homelessness (CCH) as a member of their Team to End Homelessness.
Founded in 1980, CCH works under the core belief that housing is a fundamental human right, advocating across Chicago and Illinois to organize communities, advance public policy, protect youth and low-income families through legal aid, and tackle the root causes of systemic housing instability. CCH relies on independent funding rather than government grants, making community support essential to maintaining their fierce advocacy. Our society is safer when all of our neighbors have access to housing.

Last year taught me to never tell me the odds and to never doubt my capabilities. The Year of the Horse is where I move boldly with intentionality and purpose. To have patience with a sense of urgency. 🐎 by @sammyly1

BACK TO BACK. 🏅🏅

I really only had a half marathon to give in this race. It humbled me really well trying to be ambitious and do two races in a month. I struggled but he gave me the strength to finish. Gave everything to the sport I could this year. by @sammyly1
