I started this in 2021 and finally finished it in 2026. The entire shirt is made out of sewing thread (yes this was extremely tedious and took probably 20+ hrs). The shorts are made out of scrap fabric. The whole piece is over 3 feet tall. Within the stickers, there is hidden nudity. I forgot about this aspect when I continued working on it again this year and got jumpscared by it when placing stickers. Haven't found a way to fully secure the stickers, so with time they have fallen off slowly. Kind of ended up liking this aspect about the piece though, everchanging. Unsure if this will be flagged or not, hoping for the best. by @samqueeird

This is a very peronal piece to me. Ostracized kids find solace in other Ostracized kids on spaces like tumblr, where for years they allowed (and honestly still do) inappropriate and dangerous content. when your brain is so fresh, you become disillusioned with your reality and the content you are exposed to online. Everything feels like a fantasy, consequences dont exist until they do. The tcc (tru* crim* communit*) continues to run rampant 10 years past when i was last involved, quickly radicalizing more and more vulnerable kids. Im glad to have had gotten out of that space unscathed, but I still have daily nightmares about the things I experienced/witnessed within these communities. I have a mass amount of empathy for the kids with nowhere to go that find idols in all the wrong kind of people. by @samqueeird

From issue 5 of "Future Sex". This article resonated with me as a transsexual man (and former lesbian) even though it's from 33 years ago. Interesting how there is still similar discourse within queer spaces regarding transitioning and male privilege. Made me feel seen in a bit of a sad but comforting way. There's something rare and beautiful with being able to relate to our elders and those before us. Ive been wanting to turn this account into somewhat of an archive of the things I find while sourcing material. by @samqueeird
