Somehow this is my first post for the year. I just got a roll of film back from @urbanamuseumofphotography which was an absolute treat to walk through, and going through these slides is having me feel incredibly grateful for the life I get with the people I get to do it with by @samthedrummer

It wasn’t so long ago I thought about callin’ Colorado home. And while southern ground calls for me now, I’ll never forget my love for the fresh Rocky Mountain air.

After a few years apart, my family drove from Illinois to Colorado to reconnect and make memories. What resulted was a three-meal-a-day, laughter-filled week in Old Colorado City. I’m so proud of my family, near and far - without their unconditional love, who knows where I’d be. The product of a year's work; the most fulfilling project I've completed. Through love, loss, and laughter, @raccoon.junior released our second full-length album in October. If you haven't already, give it a listen and share your stories about RJ.

In memory of our loving, beautiful friend, Ruby Jules, these memories were not made without you. Every show, every success, every day we, I, think of you watching over us. I'm heartbroken you couldn't be with us to make and hear this music, but I know you would have loved it and everything that came after. We love you, our forever friend, Ruby Jules.

I figure it's time I catch up a little bit and share what I've been doin'. More photos to come of New York and good friends.

For anyone who didn't know, I sorta fell off the Earth last Spring and moved to Brooklyn, New York, where I had some of the best times of my life - I've been on the road, playin' shows, and makin' music with the best since coming back to Nashville. If we haven't connected in awhile, I'd love to get back in touch! There's nothing quite as great as gettin' coffee with old friends - or makin' more music, of course.

Beautiful photos courtesy of my best friend, @jw_donnelly. Although this is one of a few photos I have of myself in the studio, the memories I've made in these rooms are endless.

Here's to giving ourselves more grace; here's to being forgiving of the mistakes we make; here's to spending time with our intentions. Even if things feel pointless, keep going for just a little bit longer. At least we can say we tried :)

Last week, I got to take my best friend home for my family reunion! We sang songs in the car, stopped to visit with my grandpa, befriended many small creatures, and much more I wish I could fit all into one post. All in all, I am so grateful for my amazing family who take such good care of me whenever I am able to come home. I wouldn't trade this last week for anything. Thank you mom and Marshall for making this all possible; I can't wait to see you both again soon!
