Curator: Passages by Jiashun Zhou at 10 Greatorex St, E1 5NF, London until Oct 26 open Fri and Sat (1pm to 6pm) and by appointment

POSTS STORIES REELS

Last few days to see ‘Passages’ by #JiashunZhou at 10 Greatorex Street, E1 5NF. Today the show will be open until 6pm.

In Zhou’s practice, the slow mechanics of floor-loom weaving are central to how the spaces are constructed. Warp and weft build the image incrementally, making surface and structure inseparable and replacing immediacy with a process based on repetition and tactile perception. Zhou has described weaving as a way of “measuring space inch by inch and line by line”. For each piece, he works on only a small section of the image at a time, which then disappears around the loom as the weaving progresses, with the complete image revealed only once the textile is released. Colour and texture operate with equal importance. Saturated reds, ochres, greens, blues and purples recur across the works, allowing remembered environments to be reconstructed through affect as much as through form.

In Passages, #JiashunZhou transforms weaving into a tactile exploration of memory and architecture. Lines, openings and shifting perspectives are softened by the woven surface, blurring the boundaries between representation and abstraction.

Stairs (2026) evokes movement and the experience of navigating space, while Totem (2026) explores enclosure, verticality and the monumentality of classical architecture. Through the intimate, time-intensive process of weaving, both works transform spatial experience into a material expression of memory.

The exhibition is open today until 6pm at 10 Greatorex Street, E1 5NF, London.

In Stayin’ (2026), two nearly mirrored interiors are split by a narrow central gap, turning symmetry into a threshold. The repeated vertical forms and muted fields of teal, ochre and brown make the space feel familiar but slightly unsettled, as if the same room were recalled from two different moments in time.

‘Passages’ by #JiashunZhou is open Friday and Saturday from 1 pm to 6 pm and by appointment until Oct 26th at 10 Greatorex Street, E1 5NF, London.

The show passages by #JiashunZhou (@shunshun.art) is open today and tomorrow from 1 pm to 6 pm at 10 Greatorex St, E1 5NF. In the monumental work ‘Hallway’, the artist revisits the architecture of a temple close to his grandmother’s house in China to explore the notion of home as a condition that extend beyond the limits of physical attachment.

The show is open by appointment and on Fridays and Saturdays from 1pm to 6pm until October 26.

SAVE THE DATE

Hello London, it’s been a while!! I’m very happy to inform you that on Oct 14th, from 6pm to 8pm, I’ll be opening “Passages” - a solo-show by Chinese-American artist Jiashun Zhou. This is the first solo show of the artist in the United Kingdom and it will take place at 10 Greatorex Street, E1 5NF.

Jiashun Zhou’s floor-loom weavings translate lived architecture into a study of how place, memory and cultural inheritance shape a sense of belonging beyond physical attachment. Working entirely within the woven medium, the Chinese-American artist draws on spaces that have shaped different stages of his life, from the Chinese architectural environments of his childhood to the domestic and studio interiors of Chicago, where he currently lives and works.

See you there ♥️

Brazilian artist Lucas Rubly engages with the nostalgic passage from innocence to awareness, seeking a way to express what has been and what can be recalled. Flower vases, sandcastles, baskets of fruit and the reflections of trees upon water become images of a reality inherently vowed to change. Yet, his works are not reminders of the world’s finitude, but rather testimonies to its existence: in the gradual wilting of a flower in a vase, the destiny of life is reflected in its melancholic brevity and surprising beauty.

The show “Yours Truly” is open by appointment until Sept 20th at Ca Fosca, Bologna (@cafoscaduetorri) in Via Caprarie 7.

In Braden Hollis’s work, a fascination with the freedom of artistic expression emerges through the figure of the solo performer: a dancer, a singer-songwriter dressed in fiery red, a model at work on set. Her subjects, primarily Black, are portrayed as they express their bodies, their appearance and their spirit, illuminated by the light at the center of the stage. Hollis’s work approaches performance as a possible form of revelation: by erasing the defining features of his characters, she directs the gaze toward the action itself, transforming it into an expression of sensitivity.
