I am so overwhelmed in the best possible way. The place I stayed away from for so long was the place that held the cure to my grief.

Papi, thanks for bringing me back to your home, which is mine as well now, forever.

You are alive in this place, in the air, in the water, in the music of Benito and salsa legends. In the food, in the smiles of strangers that are now friends . I carried you with me and I found my healing here.

Happy Birthday to one of the biggest pieces of my heart!

Anyone that knows and loves me, has to know and love you too. There is no room for negotiation. You are one of my constants and for that I will always be so grateful and thankful.

The way we met is now a legendary story, but our enduring friendship and all we have overcome is even better.

I am so immensely proud of the man you have become - you have managed to evolve each year into a better version of yourself while still maintaining the best qualities and characteristics from when I met you so many years ago.

This year my birthday wish for you is continued growth, self care, and finding a soft spot to land in every area of your life. It's what you're worth and it's what you deserve so very much.

✨Charlotte Getaway Dump ✨

Special shout-out to my bestie @the_nikkitaylor for making my getaway even that much better and helping me heal.

My nephew @gods.only.angel and his YN crew for an unforgettable time.

My healing pups Bella, Malaki, and Lily who helped tend to the part of my heart that misses my Lola.
