Sketchbook

Been focusing on some other things recently so not had a chance to post much. But here is a pic of me sketch book. I drew this, with my own bleeding fingers… well not bleeding but I do have one of those wierd bumps you get one your pen resting finger (know what I mean?) and I get numb index finger tip prob due to repetitive strain… that’s right I put real passion into all my endeavors even to my own detriment!!

I do this for you

If you like my work please comment, repost, add to story, dm… you know all the things that keep artists motivated and helps them not go insane on this platform. (Cheers xx)

Hot mic!

I recently heard a fictional news report saying that they had caught a hot mic of one of trumps cronies. Apparently they were skipping down the street of Washington DC singing the following ditty

‘Might is right
Right is wrong
Look at our muscles
Look at our thongs
We are the group
Who beat to a pulp
All those who think
All those who balk
At our glistening muscles
Of our macho tussles
Our destroying fuc’alls
Masculine fossils
Who tell you that
The world will be only fair
When all there is
Is billionaires
(In lairs)’

Strange times 🤨

Sketchbook

Recently had a great time staying with some mates in Wales… bloody love Wales. Finally got some time and head space to get some drawing done. What with jobs, art and music projects (plus various world events and another fecking war! ..) I’ve found it pretty hard to relax enough to get some drawing done…

Anyway here is a page I completed… don’t ask what it means… I does not know 🤨

Hi there!

I’ve been MIA on insta recently. I tend to see it as a headspace break but TBH I’ve not been drawing much recently. I tend to go through phases and work on different projects. At the moment I’m very much into songwriting and performing live. Here is a song I’ve written called Battle Bus.

It’s about the current political climate in the UK which is bonkers at the mo… post truth crazy times and rise of right wing fanatics and dark crypto wizards. I think everyone just wants to feel like things are working… but there’s been a collapse in neo liberal ideology which has left a void which seems to have been filled by techno feudalism!

I know what you are thinking… songs should be about lighter things like love… happy dancing etc.

Well I say f*%k that!

Noise in the background is those pesky kids!

Way below the flora
Mushroom people
And strange queries of leaves
Dance the precarious life of nature
Between Oddly shaped tombs of buildings and ballast weaves
trodden paths laid by feet of people
flattened bracken where possibility of undergrowth greaves
These little figures screaming upwards
At the greying ground
And Towering skies of high rise
weeds
Questioning the fou in the fauna
For we will all the soil one day be
lamenting us the one true question
what is quality of soil we wish the leave…

…
Gaining stuff,
adjacent stuff
Energy is only borrowed
Apparently,
You gather it
and you bail
The field is wet
And the guinea pig has died
And all you see is stuff
Adjacent stuff
‘The model of the world from above
An HBO model village from the early 80s,
Cartoon nuclear bomb’
Clouds
Gathering
apparitions that did not disappear
scared of being discovered
He hid
His energy
In entropy
A hegemonic approach
To death
A decisive decision
Where Mediocre grey skies
In a broad spectrum
Are explaining
that he still exists as energy
He was a good one
And I feel a sudden wave of
cathartic
guinea pig
Acceptance

A selection of drawings I’ve made in south of France. Can you spot the unicorn?

Alas no unicorn in France, but lots of cacti…

On Again

Been working on this song for a while, and currently in the process of recording it. It’s nice with full band but I do like it unplugged acoustic styley. When I sing this song at home my youngest son Orrin always sings along and shows a suitable gesture when I sing ‘sticking I finger up into the sky’ 🖕
🤣

The song is about low mood feelings and how they come and go leaving it hard to make connections with people… tis not a sad song though! Just reflective
