Meet the producers #1. Four of the producers behind the Best SanCup 2026 final, from Camacho and Oliveira. 🏆

A few stories that didn’t fit on the slides:

Vanessa almost didn’t ferment her lot at all. “Any other year I wouldn’t have chosen to ferment it, because it had a lot of green. Now it has completely changed my mind.”

Ledes’s father planted the farm’s first plot “bean by bean”, sowing seeds straight into the ground because there were no seedlings. This year, the family’s finalist Arara was one of the last coffees picked. “Arara takes forever.”

Waldir usually makes his own wild yeast from the coffee itself: cherries left in a jar with water, then kept in the fridge. This year there was no time to prepare it, and his lot still made the final out of 40 samples in the national stage.

Paulo Afonso spent decades in mining, where processing uses huge amounts of water. At Santa Clara, he chooses not to wash his coffee. “I’m taking the fruit off the tree just as it is, letting it dry on the patio and finish its natural process.”

Their lots go to the Best SanCup Auction on November 17, with pre-bidding opening November 15.

Proud moment for our quality lab. 🏆

This year, Fernanda and Luiz Felipe were selected to join the jury of the Cup of Excellence Brazil 2026, one of the most demanding coffee competitions in the world, where every lot is cupped and scored again and again until only the very best remain.

For us, it’s a recognition of the expertise we’ve built over the years. The same professionals trusted to evaluate some of the world’s finest coffees are responsible for assessing the quality of the coffees we deliver to our customers. When a roaster opens one of our bags, these are the palates that have tasted it first.
