9 million patients visit the ER with chest pain every year. Many of them end up in a diagnostic “gray zone.” 🏥📉

Traditional EKGs look at electrical potential, but standard care tests still leave physicians searching for definitive answers. This uncertainty leads to unnecessary hospital admissions, prolonged wait times, and high stress for patients.

Kit Ye Au-Yeung, General Manager of AQMed at SandboxAQ, explains how our team is working to change this by developing an investigational magnetocardiography (MCG) device.

Instead of tracking electrical signals on the skin, MCG measures the actual magnetic fields generated by the heart’s electrical currents. By potentially providing clinicians with deeper, non-invasive data, this technology aims to help doctors make faster, more confident decisions, right in the emergency department. 🫀

Will AI replace scientists? 🤖🧪 Short answer: Absolutely not.

Instead, it’s giving them superpowers. Postdoctoral researcher Jia-Min Chu explains how SandboxAQ is bridging advanced chemistry with computational power to make catalyst design predictive, scalable, and faster than ever.
