A few small beers for the Sensei. No fear, just like Tom Cruise. Latino Harriet Tubman in One Battle After Another. Benicio Del Toro was incredible in it.

Here is my new memory collection. A study of fragments, layers, and the imperfect way we hold on to things. Overlap, resurfacing, incomplete, familiar. There was an old @malcolmgladwell Revisionist History episode I heard several years ago on human memory that talked about how deeply fallible memory is. It reconstructs events, conflates stories, and alters details. At least that’s what I remember about the episode.

The US Open this yesterday has definitely had its share of drama. Influencers and ring lights, Coco Gauff eliminated, new female tennis number one, Ben Shelton’s run, Tiafoe is back, and Zverev tries for another Open win. I finally finished these court pieces and they are live on the store. I think they’re a…grand slam.

In honor of the #usopen , Here’s an animation I made for @atptour last month for the Cincinnati open. It was a blast to make and went through thousands of layers but love the energy that tennis can bring and how mixed media can focus it on certain moments. Who do you think takes the US Open? #mixedmedia #alcaraz #tennis #graphicdesign by @sandgrainstudios

Harry Styles hosted SNL last week, and while I haven’t really dug into this album yet I really enjoyed his performance. I enjoyed the idea of a modern disco album and thought he was super charming. I thought of disco as a whole and it being a genre of music I never really gave a lot of value to but wonder if there is something there worth exploring. This mixed media animation was made exploring the fun of strobe lights and disco balls and of course Harry Styles dancing.

Jalen Brunson is having an incredible run and giving the Knicks a type of hope they haven’t had in decades. He is playing out of his mind and has been absolutely clutch. I hope my Spurs see them in the Finals this year to get an NBA cup rematch. I made this animation last year but I live how relevant it has stayed.

Wemby leads the Spurs and defeat the Thunder on game 7. I’ve been a spurs fan since I moved to San Antonio as a kid in 1997. This year has been one of the most fun and joyful runs and I love seeing these guys play. Castle, Dylan Harper, Fox, Keldon Johnson, Carter Bryant, Luke Kornet, Vassell, and everyone is just and absolutely blast. Knicks rematch in the finals from the NBA cup will be really fun. Two teams with something to prove.
Both hungry, both playing great basketball.

This is my newest INFINITY TUNNELS series. My wife and I just welcomed our first daughter (after three sons!) and I keep singing this Rolling Stones song in my brain every time she smiles at me because it feels like she lights up everything around her. It made me start tinkering with colors a bit and it led to this.

This collection abstract works explores depth, symmetry, and color through bold geometric ripples. Each piece creates an illusion of infinite space drawing the eye inward with layered tonal shifts.

I love the way these pieces work together to form one giant piece, and how the order you put them in can shift the tone so much. It’s like a build-your-own-adventure. 🙃

These pieces celebrate simplicity and color.
Printed on museum-quality archival paper.

The clean lines and rich palettes make them ideal for minimalist, midcentury, and creative spaces. Displayed as a cohesive gallery wall (automatic bundle discount when you get more than one!) or as individual statement pieces, they bring balance, rhythm, simplicity and color harmony into your home or workspace.

Wembanyama and the Spurs are in their first playoff run with this squad. There are learning moments, but this team is special. You can see how much they love each other. You can see how much they play for each other. Incredible leadership and maturity from some young guys. Crushed the timberwolves last night. Mixed media frame by frame animation for my favorite NBA team. It was over 1500+ layers but worth it!
