We’re down to just 30 donation appointments remaining, and we need your help to make this year’s blood drive a lifesaving success!

S&S Drug is honored to once again sponsor the Keller King Blood Drive on Wednesday, July 15, and there’s no better time to schedule your donation.

When Keller was just 9 months old, he was diagnosed with a Wilms tumor, requiring the removal of a kidney, a blood transfusion, and six months of chemotherapy. Today, he’s a healthy, active 13-year-old who loves baseball, golf, and spending time with friends. His story is a reminder that the blood someone donates today could save the life of a child like Keller tomorrow.

Today is an especially bittersweet celebration at S&S Drug.

While we’re excited to celebrate Julie Schoen’s birthday, we’re also reminded that this is the last S&S Drug birthday post we’ll get to share before she begins her well-earned retirement.

Although we’re sad to see her go, we couldn’t be more excited for the incredible adventures that await her!

Julie has spent 26 years making S&S Drug a better place for both our team and our customers. She is always wearing a smile, quietly working behind the scenes, and constantly looking for ways to improve. Her dedication to learning is unmatched. If there was ever a problem without an obvious solution, Julie was the person who would dive into the research, master the process, and then patiently teach the rest of us what she had learned. She has never sought the spotlight, but instead has led by example through her work ethic, humility, and willingness to help wherever she was needed.

Julie, thank you for the countless ways you’ve made S&S Drug stronger over the years. Your knowledge, kindness, and servant’s heart have left a lasting impact on all of us. We hope your birthday is as wonderful and special as you are, and we wish you nothing but happiness in this exciting new chapter.

🎉 Happy Birthday to our very own Jerica King! 🎉
Today we’re celebrating someone who has become an irreplaceable part of the S&S Drug family!
When Jerica joined S&S Drug more than 15 years ago, she had absolutely no background in home health or insurance billing. Fast forward to today, and she has become a true expert in both. As the fearless leader of our Home Health team, she works tirelessly every single day navigating the complicated world of insurance so our patients can receive the care and equipment they need. Her determination, knowledge, and willingness to fight for what’s best for our customers make her an invaluable part of our company.
Jerica’s heart for serving others extends far beyond the walls of S&S Drug. Her passion for helping people has led her into important leadership roles throughout our community, where she continues to make a difference. And when she’s not hard at work, you’ll almost certainly find her exactly where she wants to be—cheering on her two very busy boys from the gym, the baseball field, or wherever their next adventure takes them. She is an incredible mom, an outstanding leader, a loyal friend, and someone who pours her heart into everything she does.
Jerica, thank you for all you do for S&S Drug, our patients, and our community. We are so thankful to have you as part of our family.

Yesterday, we had the privilege of celebrating a very special member of the S&S Drug family as she prepares for retirement at the end of this month.

For the past 26 years, Julie Schoen has been an invaluable part of S&S Drug, serving in countless roles—from pharmacy technician to insurance biller and so much more. No matter the position, Julie always approached her work with dedication, professionalism, and a genuine desire to make S&S Drug better every single day. Even after moving to Manhattan and transitioning to a remote role, she remained a trusted teammate and an important part of our organization.

Julie has always had a passion for learning and a gift for finding answers to even the most challenging questions. She consistently went above and beyond, not only expanding her own knowledge but generously sharing it with others to help our entire team grow and succeed. Her positive attitude, willingness to help, and commitment to excellence have left a lasting impact on S&S Drug and everyone who has had the opportunity to work alongside her.

While we will miss Julie more than words can express, we are excited for her next chapter and her well-deserved promotion to “Professional Grandma”—a title that may be impossible to top!

Happy Birthday to our very own Chad Lorenz! 🎉
When Chad joined S&S Drug as a Home Health Technician, he probably had no idea the job description would eventually include Head IT Guy, copier repairman, campus electrician, vehicle maintenance coordinator, safety officer, phone system technician, lead bat controller, and about a hundred other titles we’ve unofficially assigned him over the years. If something breaks, needs fixed, needs connected, needs programmed, or simply needs figured out, chances are Chad is already on it before anyone else even notices.
The truth is, Chad wears countless hats and plays a vital role in keeping S&S running smoothly every single day. His dedication, knowledge, willingness to help, and positive attitude make him an incredible cornerstone of our team. We are truly fortunate that he chose S&S Drug, and we’re grateful for everything he does for our staff and customers. We hope your birthday is every bit as special as you are, Chad.
