sewage sludge application on prime agricultural land warnings seem to fall on deaf ears tried to find anyone at the breakfast in Newburg this am to ask about how L&A milk producers and any other farmers there , —-what were their opinions on the use of sewage sludge on the farmers fields in the area? no one I spoke to knew anything about this practice!!!! No one had heard about GFL spreading sewage sludge on snow covered fields nor the fact that they did so from fractured limestone area below our home. Our well was contaminated shortly after this event unable to even bath in water from our well. coincidence ?health unit no longer does a dye test to determine source of contamination the ministry of the environment does not test for PFAS the forever chemicals in sewage sludge so the RURAL well owner whose property is often surrounded by farm owners who have embraced the application of this highly controversial practice of spreading sewage biosolids is pretty much left to deal with contaminated water supply on their own by @sandyhillfarm

A walk through the farm at the beginning of September. The fields are beginning to shift. Summer is still here, but the first signs of fall are appearing — in deeper colour, changing textures, and flowers reaching the fullness of their season. This is where so much of what arrives at Bloomfields begins. Grown close to home, gathered with the season, and brought into our shops each week. The landscape behind the flowers. by @sandyhillfarm

An absolutely spectacular floral display cut yesterday basking now in the morning sunshine to greet a new day. It feels particularly appropriate in honour of the one and only Dolly. Live your truth. Notice all the beauty. Be kind to others. And wherever you can, pass a little goodness along. 🦋 Special thanks to @sandyhillfarm for the lovely walk, chat and spectacular flowers. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸 #earlymorningsun #dolly #liveyourtruth by @sandyhillfarm
