A walk through the farm at the beginning of September.

The fields are beginning to shift. Summer is still here, but the first signs of fall are appearing — in deeper colour, changing textures, and flowers reaching the fullness of their season.

This is where so much of what arrives at Bloomfields begins.

Grown close to home, gathered with the season, and brought into our shops each week.

The landscape behind the flowers.

An absolutely spectacular floral display cut yesterday basking now in the morning sunshine to greet a new day.
It feels particularly appropriate in honour of the one and only Dolly.

Live your truth.
Notice all the beauty.
Be kind to others.
And wherever you can, pass a little goodness along.
🦋

Special thanks to @sandyhillfarm for the lovely walk, chat and spectacular flowers.

Living in Bloom | Where I Return

Every summer begins here.

The evening light.

The fields in bloom.

Arms full of flowers.

Before they arrive in our shops, they are already part of our family's story.

And before long, they become part of home.

Some stories begin long before us.

Nearly fifty years ago, Jamie’s parents, Wendy and Bert, made Sandyhill their home.

Over the decades, they lovingly shaped the land — planting trees, gardens and flowers, creating a place where nature and family could grow together.

People who love gardens and flowers are so generous. I spent some time this afternoon touring a wonderful garden that once was a pasture, with only a few trees. It is now a rollicking, biodiverse reflection of its gardener’s creative eye and artistry over many decades. I was on the hunt to identify and see the native bush cranberry. All so inspirational! Many thanks for your invitation and hospitality Wenda @sandyhillfarm 💐#gardentour #summergarden2026 #naturallyla
