We’ve teamed up with five independently owned Oregon businesses to give one winner a cozy Portland-to-Mt. Hood fall getaway:

@niksenhouse — A one-night weekday stay in a Scandinavian-inspired A-frame tucked along the Sandy River at the base of Mt. Hood National Forest.

@sandyriverstudio — A two-hour private pottery session in a converted barn on a peaceful farm near the Sandy River. Designed for beginners, the session offers an approachable way to relax and explore something creative—about 20-minute drive from Niksen House.

@ladymaeboutique — A $50 gift card to this sister-owned women’s boutique in Portland’s Alberta Arts District.

@yours.truly.pdx — A $40 gift card to this neighborhood café in Sellwood.

@sugarpinedrivein — A $40 gift card to this old-school, new-American drive-in on the banks of the Sandy River in Troutdale—the perfect stop between PDX and Mt. Hood.

Dumplings + clay. A very good Sunday.

Join LCC at @sandyriverstudio for an afternoon of making things by hand. Lani Chan of Hei Ma will teach us to make traditional pork + chive dumplings from scratch, followed by a hand-building workshop where we’ll make our own ceramic dumpling plates and dipping dishes.

And then, naturally, we eat.

Dumpling Days this Sept 19th & 20th in collaboration w/ Lani Chan from @heima.made. We will learn how to make traditional Chinese dumplings from scratch & also have a clay project that includes making your own custom dish and saucer for all your future dumpling days:) We are reserving the 20th for Private Party Booking only- so if this is for your and your friends or your co-workers send me a message to reserve this date! All other bookings are available on my website!
