My group exhibition @unit1galleryworkshop recently came to a close. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the artists for their inspiration, support and friendship, and @stacie_art for bringing together this fantastic group of artists and making the residency possible. It has been an intense but truly rewarding experience and I leave with so many new ideas I’m eager to explore in my own studio. Thank you everyone.

I returned to Plymouth last week to give an artist talk to the public and students @plymuni , followed by an afternoon of tutorials. I would like to thank @theaiplym and @fineartinplymouth for making this possible, with special thanks to Angela, Mary, Andy and Clara. It was wonderful to see the Arts Institute team again and meet the Fine Art Dept. I had a great time and look forward to their upcoming degree show.

‘The Island’ - My featured painting in ‘And Other Animals’ exploring a vibrant scene of toucans and a gecko.

It is part of the group exhibition ‘And Other Animals’ at @oliverprojectslondon which is inspired by Gerald Durrell’s classic 1956 memoir ‘My Family and Other Animals’. The show features works from artists exploring the diverse wildlife found throughout the book.

The Island
Oil on canvas
50 x 40 cm

The exhibition runs until Sunday 2 August. Come visit us before it closes!

I’m very happy to share that my painting has been selected for Michael Harding Prize in Pearlescent, @ascgallery 30th anniversary exhibition! Thank you @mhpaints for the award. It really was a pleasant surprise and I’m beyond excited to try the oil paint. Thank you also @nicky_coutts and @dannyrolph14 for selecting the painting and for awarding my @seungjo.jeong with ASC Gallery Exhibition.

It was my birthday yesterday. Seungjo surprised me earlier in the week with peonies and @spiritedldn at the London Coliseum. So on the actual day we chilled and went for a long walk. Another year older, wiser and happier. I‘m full of hope and excitement to learn what this year has in store for me.
