I’M NO LONGER UNEMPLOYED!

Tomorrow, i’ll start back at the job i worked at coming out of college and although it’s not where i wish i would be, at least i’ll be back on my feet. I know what it takes to get to where i want to be and i’ll continue to work to get there but i’m so grateful to finally end this chapter of my life.

Last year, i was so much more unhealthy, unhappy, and lost. However, i made so many new friends and memories that i became a newer and better me. I remembered what it felt like to just enjoy life for a little bit. I also remembered how expensive it is to enjoy life, but also how inexpensive it is to just be in the moment with the people you love. And that doesn’t cost a dime. I fell in love, i got my heart broken, i laughed, i cried, i did everything that i never allowed myself to do prior to this past year and i became a better man because of it.

My term as commissioner also ends tomorrow. Thank you to governor brown for appointing me in this role and governor kotek for continuing to try and include the asian community in policy.

Been a long time since i checked in but another year has passed and so much has happened.

First happy valentines day to all my friends and family! Its been tough these last few months as i’m still looking for work. it’s crazy how much changes so fast. I been doordashing and doin odd jobs here there just to get by. It aint the best but hey im gettin by. In the spirit of valentines day, short update on my love life: love is something that i do want but right now, without a job, I can’t get myself to commit or even really fully invest myself with someone. My parents on my head bout starting a family soon!! I’m trying!! Hahaha I feel like im getting more and more jaded every day but i think i’m just getting older. i barely made it through 28 but i did and in my last year of my 20s, i plan on enjoying it before i hit my prime 30.

by the end of this month, my term as a commissioner on the oregon commission on asian pacific islander affairs will be coming to an end and that will be the last remaining part of my chapter in oregon politics. I dont think i’ll do a second term and not sure where my career is headed but what an honor to be part of the system and to learn it all and advocate for my community.

I really dont know where life is going to take me but im sure i’ll be fine by the end of it.

HELLO EVERYBODY!! it’s been a great year filled with memories that i will cherish forever. Thank you for all the birthday wishes and all the love and support I’ve received! Truly am so blessed and privileged to have everyone in my life. It’s been a crazy year, a lot of growing, a lot of learning. Lotta tears, but even more laughter. Times really been flying these days.

Shoutout to the band for making me sound good when i was too lit to even perform hahaha, but i truly do love and appreciate everyone who showed up or took the time to wish me a happy birthday.

It’s my last year in my twenties and i’m anxious but excited to see what life has in store for me next. by @sangtzun
