➺Continuation of teams project ➺⚖

”Admission of guilt”

Draped and handsewn dress out of 8 squares of silk, zero-waste. Object dyed with natural pigment using techniques to minimise water waste. The additional textiles and yarn are all sourced second hand and made of natural fibres.
Hat is made of woven banana fibers and knitted cotton scraps from the bin
Knee high socks with sticks and rocks, from organic cotton jersey dyed with natural dyes such as clay and madder

Felted hem by @laylay.png ⭐️

Amazing Eri silk by @7weaves - handspun and handwoven by artisans in indigenous communities in Assam, India, using their traditional knowledge and techniques. All with the goal of bio cultural continuity, to preserve these traditional techniques that helped nurture the biodiversity of the land, and bring that forward with the culture in to the future.
