Volleyball has always seemed fascinating. Watching haikyuu while procrastinating studying definitely contributed towards this feeling.
Didn't know how much justice I could do to all the amazing volleyball players who helped make this video possible [ @amolv__, @ananth_6705, @amey.bangera, @dnebhrajani_, @vaibooooo, @prajnapenmetsa, @sashangh_dr, @atharvvbhatt ], but I tried my best.
.
Realised this: that the time of shooting, especially when you're outdoors, matters A LOT. When outdoors, the Sun is the primary source of light, and the lighting conditions can change drastically really quickly. Sadly, we didn't have a lot of time to shoot this, and we ended up with half the shots done when the Sun was up, and half when it went down. Huge disparity in the lighting conditions, which only seemed more intense when I saw the footage in the editing software. Well then, back to the drawing board, decided to see if rotoscoping and masking could help me 'build a new visual world' for this video. A world where lighting didn't really matter.
.
Turned out to be one of my most complicated projects till date, but I really tried to go all out. Anyways, hope y'all like the 'gritty ethereal black and white' aesthetic. Was a new style for me too!

Almost everyday, I wake up thinking ki aaj to gym jaenge, office mein crazy kardenge, acchi diet khaenge, nayi cheezein seekhenge blah blah. But din ke last tak inme se ek bhi cheez poori nahi hui hoti. And it has always left me wondering where I went wrong. I had it all planned, thought through, bas kuch hua nahi aur poora din aise hi nikal gaya.

Well one day I sat down with myself and asked why am I even okay with this? Why am I okay being a loser who’s just consuming content everyday. And I think the answer was that I wasn’t okay with it, it’s just that I had stimulated my brain enough to not allow any other idea to exist. All I ended up doing is watching reels, series, listening to music, basically FILLING THE VOID. But there’s actual goals and constructive things you can do to fill this void, which would actually make me happy. But for that to happen, you must allow the void to exist. And for the void to exist, stop doing the activities you’re filling the void with. De-stimulate

First few days will be super hard, and your body would do its best to make you fall back to your habits, but keep this thought for the day in your head that day, and hopefully, you’ll be a happier chap when you sleep peacefully at night.

Still Planning?
Been forever since Ive posted a video. Not because I gave up on my dream, but because I never stopped planning. Spent my time learning instead of doing. Thought I was doing a good job, but ultimately nothing was getting pumped out. Its very easy to get into this rabbit hole of preparing to do a thing instead of doing the thing.
Its better to just expose yourself, expose your shortcomings and embrace the things you’re bad at. And then instead of fixing them first and hoping to someday be “ready”? Just start. Why? Because that feeling of feeling ready? Its never coming.
Fixing the faults can happen along the way. It is NEVER a pre-requisite.
Cheers! Hope you enjoyed, my thought for the day [ep1] by @sannidhya_g

Not the baraat , but still stealing the show🕺 by @sannidhya_g

I've been so sick n tired of the youtube downloader websites. Half of them don't work. Some say they'll download an mp3 but give you a .webm. AND ALL OF THEM ARE FILLED WITH ADS.
tldr: ITS MEGA FRUSTRATING.
i was looking for an easy solution when I realised I could make something of my own. (yes maybe it's time to use the 2 braincells I developed during my engineering)
So finally I made a very simple script which grabs the url of the video currently playing on youtube in the current tab, sends it to a server which knows about my current working directory in DaVinci Resolve, downloads that video/ audio there.
.
IT SAVES ME SOOOO MUCH TIME NOW. Y'all should build systems for your workflow too. It simplifies stuff so much!
.
Also, please do not download the copyrighted content on YouTube. It's unethical and we shouldn't support it. This was just a fun video idea I had. Hope y'all enjoyed :)

So I went back to the gym after a VERY long time. Knowing that I used to lift heavy before and was doing 110 kilos on the bench press every week, I was confident I'd be strong. I know you lose strength when you don't work out, but I thought that 80 kilos would be a piece of cake.
SURPRISE!!! it was not. I could barely lift 75 and that carried over on other exercises as well. I was weak as f***.
Yes, 75 was impressive in itself but it was a struggle to appreciate myself when others were complimenting my lift. because I knew I was capable of so much more.
I realised that it is very hard to celebrate and cherish your past achievements knowing well that you are nowhere near capable of grabbing them again.
.
Well with this feeling in mind I decided to give it a name:
"Wrestling with your ghost"
Because I had to carry it everyday through my weightloss journey, as strength does not pop back so easily, especially when youre on a cut.
I'm still wrestling with mine and I'm nowhere close to being on his level, but at least I'm comfortable with acknowledging him and also passionate about beating him someday :D

Upspiral
Recently started a weightloss challenge w my friends. Seemed like a mammoth of a task, and yes, I thought that there's no chance I could do it.
But well, we did start, and I had to do something. So make very small changes initially, and tracked my calories. And when with a slight 200 cal deficit, guess what? I lost some weight. But ofc dieting isn't easy.
If you look at it broadly, eating 500 calories less than your 3000 usual sounds impossible. But if you swap out some calorie heavy things with healthy stuff, bit by bit, it gives you confidence and you think you can do it.
Some days I felt out of motivation and just not willing to diet, but those days I did a small 'good task' and that now enabled me to see that maybe eating in a deficit at least in the next meal isn't that hard.
And one step at a time, you start moving towards your goal. That was when I discovered: Upspiral by @sannidhya_g

STOP over-optimizing your gym routine and start prioritizing getting stronger. The biggest misconception in fitness, especially for beginners, is that you need "perfect" science-based exercises to see muscle growth.
.
We often get stuck in "paralysis by analysis." You watch ten different videos on the perfect angle for a bicep curl, convinced that if your form isn't 100% optimal, you're wasting your time. But as I mentioned in the video, striving for perfection usually just leads to inconsistency.
.
The truth is, your muscles don't care about textbooks; they care about tension.
.
I spent so much time as a beginner hunting for the "secret" exercise that I forgot the only metric that actually matters: Are you stronger this week than you were last week?
.
When you stop treating the gym like a science lab and start treating it like a training ground, the results finally show up. Keep it simple, lift heavy, and go home.
.
Have you ever removed an exercise you liked just because an influencer said it wasn't "optimal"? Let's discuss down below!
