Loving these process pics from @saperez56
Sergio’s gorgeous prints are always full of so much movement, texture and detail.

Come through to see this beauty get printed by steamroller on October 18th @theyardbeacon 12-5!
The finished prints will be carried from steamroller to exhibition with an opening that night from 6-8!!

When he’s not carving Sergio is a teacher at Beacon High School where he has a group of incredible printmakers working on a collaborative large-scale print that will also be printed at Roll Out. This year 3 of his students who have participated in the last two years are carving their own wood blocks!

Carving is happening in homes, studios, yards, and schools all over Beacon this fall! We can feel the energy!

Our free community workshops @theyardbeacon on Wednesday were AMAZING!
So many folks came out of all ages and all levels of printmaking experience!

We loved the parents carving alongside their kids!

We loved the morning session where everyone entered strangers and left as part of a larger printmaking community.

We loved meeting new community members.

We loved seeing the faces and real growth of young people who have been carving with Roll Out since our launch 3 years ago.

We loved the teacher carving alongside his students.

24 community members participated and 30 fish were carved! Stay tuned to see these beauties join our community sourced school of fish installation!!

Thank you @theyardbeacon for your magical space. Carving under the shade of your trees was 🔥

Huge shout out to our partners @artsmidhudson @beaconcityschool @beaconarts @beaconcityhs @blickartmaterials @garrisonartcenter
