Feeling so grateful for the opportunity to be part of Roll Out Beacon. 🖤

My work explores identity, vulnerability, protection, and the ways we create spaces of comfort and safety while navigating life’s challenges. Through organic forms, intricate textures, and layered lines, I reflect on the emotions we carry and the barriers we build to protect our most vulnerable parts.

Being part of Roll Out Beacon allowed me to explore these ideas through a new medium and experience my work on a completely different scale. Seeing this large-scale print come to life through the power of a steamroller was both surreal and humbling.

I’m incredibly grateful to have been part of a community that celebrates creativity, collaboration, and experimentation. There is something beautiful about watching an individual idea become part of a collective experience.

Thank you, @roll_out_beacon, for this opportunity, and to all the artists and community members who made this experience so meaningful. 🖤

Thank you to the sponsors:
@theyardbeacon @artsmidhudson @beaconarts @beaconcityschool @forbeaconschools @garrisonartcenter
And of course, huge appreciation for the indelible Rollout team, including @fledglingpress, @lalaadelman, @saperez56.

My new woodblock print coming off the steamroller yesterday @roll_out_beacon ‘s event @theyardbeacon . ❤️

Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful fall day spent printing in community. Thank you to @lalaadelman and @saperez56 and the whole core team …and to my fellow printmakers far and wide who all worked so hard throughout the day (and into the night) to print so many gorgeous blocks.

What an amazing day for @roll_out_beacon! We are honored to have been a little part of it. Enjoyed seeing 5th graders, from each Beacon Elementary School, watch with excitement as the steamroller did its magic and press their prints! Each 5th grader created a linocut of either a head, torso, or bottom that were then placed together to create exquisite corpses. Yay for community and printmaking!

Again special shout out to @roll_out_beacon putting on this incredible event.
