To say we are thrilled & excited for our son James DeGroff’s June 2027 wedding to Ava Ethridge is such an understatement! Last night, we had a fun trip with Ava’s mom, grandma, & sister, plus 2 of my daughters (bridesmaids). Ava found THE DRESS!!! Idk how I’d missed the location when I saw people post about the new self-serve farm & baked goods & craft stand in Hurricane, The Barber’s Wife, but if you’re like me & you’re like, “that address is familiar, but where is that?”

It’s at Bob’s Barber shop on Putnam Ave near the Hurricane exit. That’s near the Walgreens.

What a cute stand & so well stocked! I got a few sourdough baked goodies. I’ll definitely swing by again!

They take cash or an assortment of online payments (PayPal, Venmo, idk what else). by @sarahdegroff

I got to have long overdue lunch in the sun with my friend Jessica Oliver Davis today in the garden area between 1861 restaurant & Köerber Beer in Barboursville. It has such a pretty ambiance there! What a lovely afternoon 😊 by @sarahdegroff

I debated whether to brag on this because yes I’m happy about this, but is it really a flex? Or does it make me look like I gave up on my yard when it got hot in May? Eh, it’s fine either way. 🤷‍♀️

Look how awesome my cherry tomato 🍅 crop is doing, growing out of my compost bin!!!! I hadn’t been on that side of the house in a few weeks, had no idea til I peeked today.

Yes, these are 100% accidental volunteers. Part of the benefit of a compost bin. by @sarahdegroff
