Honoured to be a part of the 2026 Ephemere Photo Fest @threespacetokyo in the beautiful neighbourhood of Asakusabashi. I’ll be doing an artist talk this Sunday with the amazing @anne.murayama who, together with her incredible team, has excelled in delivering a wonderful program of talks, workshops and artist gatherings. I’ll be talking about the development of my Dark Energy body of work, created as an artist in residence @photoaccess_inc in Canberra, Australia, and my journey towards the creation of a photobook. by @sari.sutton

Very excited to be a part of this year's Head On Photo Festival Open Program, with my series, Stand Here.

Stand Here is a project that explores the human experience of global disruption - and what sustains us in dark and strange times. As a directive, it is a reminder of the limits of our individual agency, mobility and free will. When the ground beneath us rapidly shifts, our primal instinct can be to freeze, fight or take flight. It can also be a welcome invitation to slow down, take stock and reflect upon our real, enduring needs - economic and social, individual and collective. Existential risks dangle above us, not always seen, but definitely felt. As new waves of global uncertainty appear to lurch inexorably towards us, Stand Here invites us to pause and sit with the chaos and strangeness.

At the Civic Art Bureau, Canberra, from 12 November - 13 December.

Very happy to announce that my (pre-press) photobook, Dark Energy, has been selected for inclusion in an exhibition of 50 international photobooks at the Ephemere Photo Fest 2026, in Tokyo in October! Huge thanks to @anne.murayama and team for this honour.

The images in my photobook were created in the darkroom as a Dark Matter artist-in-residence at Canberra’s @photoaccess_inc.

Congratulations to all the finalists, but especially fellow Australian and dear friend, the super-talented @lisamurrayphotos ❤️

The exhibition and Ephemere Photo Fest @ephemere.tokyo will be held at Three Space Tokyo, Asakusabashi, from 17-27 October. by @sari.sutton

One of my unique state prints on Ilford fibre-based photographic paper, Lunar, 2024, from my series, Dark Energy, created as a resident in the darkroom at @photoaccess_inc, is currently in the Canberra Contemporary annual members’ show, at @platform_canberracontemporary in Manuka. It’s a great show of contemporary works from artists in the Canberra region, across all media. Today (Sunday) is the last day to see the show, so if you’re out and about near Manuka, it’s open from 12-5pm! by @sari.sutton

Wonderful to have an image of mine, from my series 'Stand Here', selected for inclusion in a beautifully-curated and designed photobook 'Color of Noise' by @ephemere.tokyo. This gorgeous book was launched at the @kg_photobookfair, a key event of the 2026 KYOTOGRAPHIE international photography festival. I felt very privileged to have been able to make it to @kyotographie for the launch of this publication - and to visit the Ephemere photobook exhibition in Kyoto, Japan as part of the @kgplus KYOTOGRAPHIE satellite program of exhibitions and events. The book was curated with this year's festival's theme 'Edge' front of mind, exploring the edge as a site of both tension and transition; a place of uncertainty, but also of possibility. Thanks to the very talented @inoyuridesign, and especially to the amazing @anne.murayama for your tremendous hard work, and for bringing this vision into being. by @sari.sutton

Honoured to be selected as a shortlisted artist in the Bristol-based Royal Photographic Society's annual International Photography Exhibition 167. Four images from my series Dark Energy, created as an artist-in-residence @photoaccess_inc, were shortlisted. Thank you so much to the @royalphotographicsociety and this year's judges @jaskirtdhaliwalboora, @lydiagoldblatt, @maxgorbatskyi, @irenelombardo, @mikeyp1839. Such a thrill to be featured amongst so many talented international photographic artists from around the world.

Also very excited to learn that my work will be featured in the Color of Noise photobook to be launched at the KYOTOGRAPHIE PHOTOBOOK FAIR, @kg_photobookfair 9-10 May.
