Artist Spotlight: @saroor.dj Revered for her exploration of the dark, percussive and groovy, Saroor is a Sudanese-British DJ whose sound is shaped on the realms of techno and psytrance.From a classically trained music background playing the cello in her formative years, and being an avid multi-genre enthusiast, her music journey began with an appreciation forcomplex rhythms and tonalities, delivering her to exploring London’s scene, with a particular affinity to the sounds of dark and progressive psy, forest and psy-techno. This led to her securing her first residency at the illustrious psy/ techno party @sliver.ldnShe has delivered notable performances at @fold.ldn , @riposte.london , @sliver.ldn , @pinhole.ldn n n as well asesteemed venues such as Colour Factory and Corsica Studios. Saroor has also showcased her sound on Rinse FM, Voices radio and many others. We first heard Saroor play in Brighton at previous Phase Logostics alum Atoxyl’s event @molasses_uk and were enchanted from the very first second. What a good time to release my cathartic swampy mix from the steam room of my favourite club @fold.ldn to send you off into the new year.Huge thank you to @jamesnewmarch and @voicedrone for inviting me back for the second time this year, it’s always such a dream to be able to play in my favourite space ever. Thank you @maxquerade for mastering my mix 💚This year, like every year has been filled with ups and downs but the positives definitely outweighed anything else, with this event being a massive inspiration. London friends - we’re back at it again this Saturday!! This time we’re launching a new series of fundraisers to support and provide aid for the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Darfur and across Sudan. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the AlGenaina Initiative which provides food, healthcare and resources in the most conflict affected regions. Good news is we’re already an RA pick! 📍Corsica Studios, SE17 1LB🗓️ Saturday 20th December ⏰ 3pm - 10pm Sudan Solidarity Sessions 001 will be showcasing some of London’s finest DJ’s from across the techno and bass scenes. First release has already sold out, second release is live!Excited to also be collaborating with the Sudanese Kitchen (@sudanesekitchen) who will be providing traditional Sudanese food and drinks, all proceeds from food sales will be donated to the Sudanese Legal Network who support Sudanese communities displaced in refugee camps across Ethiopia and Egypt. LONDON we need your help! A full evening dedicated to emergency relief for Darfur, community healing, culture and most importantly action!! Been working on this with some amazing organisations, charities and individuals. Many people have been asking how they can help Sudan so show up and show out!! 📍The Africa Centre, SE1 0BL 🗓️ Sunday 16th November 2025⏰ 16:00 - 21:30 Expect films, food from the Sudanese Kitchen, various activities, music from talented Sudanese artists and voices from Sudan. All proceeds go directly towards emergency relief and support. Also peep the audio used, my grandma used to sing this to me and my cousins when we were younger, originates from Kordofan and Darfur and talks about resilience and strength under hardship, these regions are currently experiencing the harshest brutality and war crimes from UAE backed RSF militia.
