⟡ s l i v e r s p o t l i g h t : s l i n k y k i n k y ⟡From opening up our very first ritual back in May 2024 to finally being announced as a resident today... the threads between Slinky Kinky and SLIVER were intertwined from the start and the friendship that bloomed has blessed us with a breath-taking garden of flowers in abundance.In our first ritual you heard her siren and in each ritual that followed she nourished us with her passion for cooking. Liz has been a key part of every edition of SLIVER, and as we prepare for our fourth ritual, her deep and genuine care for what SLIVER is has seen her become a core member of our coven. SLIVER would not exist in the way it does without the loving support and drive that Liz provides, and we are so so deeply honoured to have her officially join us as resident.For those who are meeting Slinky Kinky for the first time, she is a Southeast Asian DJ born in Singapore, now rooted in London since 2018. With a thirst for growth, she moves with a intuitive flow that is felt through her sets. She builds a cocoon of energy on the dancefloor, weaving high-energy pumpers, psychedelic textures and chuggy, hypnotic techno, pulling every room she touches into a trance.Every set is constructed with intent: a dialogue between physical movement and emotional resonance. Slinky Kinky’s performances are designed to charge the atmosphere, pulling dancers into her orbit and keeping them there until the very last beat.Slinky Kinky joins us for her second time behind the booth and first time as resident in just a few weeks time. we ♡ @gel.now With the monopoly that other platforms have on the scene, choosing to run our tickets on a new platform is pretty scary. What if people don’t find the event? What if they don’t trust a new platform? What if we lose out on audiences? Questions that feel catastrophic when you’re trying to create an accessible and joyful experience.But working with a platform that delivers transparency around fees and offers an affordable option for both the event and our community feels like a breath of fresh air and something we believe is worth supporting.We are still listed on RA but our cheapest tickets can be found on gel. ⟡ s l i v e r s p o t l i g h t : T a n g e l a ⟡Ever since one of our good friends and revered local selector (also on this line up) introduced us to the sounds of Tangela, we’ve been completely o b s e s s e d.Her Patterns of Perception mix is a decadent masterpiece, and was our first introduction to her enchantments. Every mix we’ve heard since has only deepened our love for her sound and her energy as a person only mirrors the soft warmth and elegant strength that can be felt in her sets. When we found out she was coming to Europe over the summer, we just had to invite her to join our line up in @fold.ldn steam room.Tangela’s style of aural storytelling is as distinct as it is varied. She guides the listener through deep, subby, subterranean worlds; encouraging listeners to float up through spacious, textural soundscapes full of unexpected turns, all with a nimble and playful touch.With her strength lying in versatility of genre, her sound is undeniably psychedelic, & one with deep connection to the Australian bush she soundtracks so regularly. floorless DJ workshops for our beginner flinta femme + queer cuties ⟢just about returned to reality after a beautiful weekend at our favourite festival @floorlessfestival ☆this year we had the joy of hosting intimate one-on-one skill development sessions with our attendees and providing bespoke tips, training and feedback on their techniquethis was the 5th year we’ve collaborated with floorless to share our knowledge in a bid to diversify the booth, and each year we’re reminded just how important and valuable this offer is, and how dear it is to our hearts ♡thank you to those who attended! we can’t wait to see how your journey will flow 🙂‍↔️we’ve taken a much needed hiatus since our last emotional event for the closure of @set.vault but we’ll be announcing news of our next event r e a l soonmissing u, our dear slivers ⟢ by @sliver.ldn

Sudanese-British DJ Saroor provides our final mix of the year. Having started out as a classically trained cellist, she has since evolved into a multi-genre enthusiast and established DJ. With an appreciation for complex rhythms and tonalities, Saroor resonates with dark progressive psy, forest, psy-techno and free tek, all of which she brings to her residency at SILVER.
