🇹🇷 Kırgızistan’da beni en çok etkileyen yerlerden birisi; Son Göl (Son-Kul, Songköl). 3 bin metre rakımda sonsuz bir düzlükte yer alan ve size sanki hiçliğin ortasındaymış hissi veren muhteşem bir göl. Bu gölün kenarındaki bir yurt kampında konakladık.

O gece dolunay zamanına denk gelmesine karşın ayın batışı ile samanyolunun galaktik merkezinin gözden kaybolmasının arasındaki sadece 11 dakikalık zaman içinde fırsatı değerlendirmek ve yıldız pozlamak istedim. Hava oldukça bulutlu olmasına rağmen tam olarak o zaman dilimi içerisinde şans yüzüme güldü. Hem de tam olarak gece uyuduğumuz yurt çadırının üzerindenden samanyolunun yükseldiği bir kadrajı denk getirecek şekilde hava pırıl pırıl açtı. Temmuz ayında olmamıza rağmen gece hissedilen hava sıcaklığı 4 santigrat derecenin altına düşmüştü ve oldukça soğuktu ama nemin olmamasıyla beraber istediğim koşullar oluştu ve istediğim kareleri yakalayabilmiştim. İşte benim için mutluluk bu 🫶🏻

🇺🇸 One of the places that impressed me the most in Kyrgyzstan; Son Lake (Son-Kul, Songköl) is a magnificent lake located on an endless plain at an altitude of 3 thousand meters and makes you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. We stayed in a yurt camp by this lake.

Even though it was a full moon that night, I wanted to take the opportunity and take a star pose during the 11-minute period between the moonset and the disappearance of the galactic center of the Milky Way. Although the weather was quite cloudy, I was lucky exactly during that time. Moreover, the weather cleared up brightly, allowing me to capture a frame where the Milky Way rose above the yurt tent where we slept at night. Even though we’re in July, air temperature felt at night had dropped below 4 degrees Celsius and was quite cold, but with the lack of humidity, the conditions I wanted were created and I was able to capture the frames I wanted. 🇹🇷 2024 yılımı tek bir paylaşımda özetlemek gerekirse, işte böyle geçti 👆🏻2024 yılındaki fotoğraf yolculuğuma Türkiye’den birkaç yer ile Kırgızistan ve Rusya’yı ancak sığdırabildim. 2025 yılında bunun daha fazlasını gerçekleştirebilmek dileğiyle herkese tekrar mutlu yıllar diliyorum. Ve bana bu yolculuğumda eşlik eden herkese tekrar çok teşekkür ediyorum 🤟🏻

🇹🇷 Karşınızda Tanrı Dağları üzerinden yükselen Dolunay: Ne mistik bir geceydi ama! Tengri Tagh veya Tengir-Too olarak da bilinen ve “Tanrı/Cennet Dağları” anlamına gelen Tian Shan, Orta Asya’daki dağ sıralarından oluşan geniş bir sistem.

Tanrı Dağları Kırgızistan, Özbekistan, Kazakistan ve Çin’in Sincan Uygur Özerk Bölgesi’nin merkezi kısımlarına yayılıyor. Bu dolunay fotoğrafını ise Kırgızistan’ın güneydoğusundaki Naryn Bölgesinin At-Bashy kısmında yer alan bir muhteşem alpine gölü olan Köl-Suu gölünün eteklerinde gece konakladığımız yurt kampında çektim.

Tian Shan’ın merkezindeki Kakshaal Too sıradağlarında 3514 m yükseklikteki Köl-Suu gölü ve muhteşem güzellikteki Kök-Kyia / Naryn bölgesi ile ilgili paylaşımları ise daha sonra yapacağım.

🇺🇸 Here is the Full Moon rising over the Mountains of God: What a mystical night it was! The Tian Shan, also known as Tengri Tagh or Tengir-Too, meaning “Mountains of God/Heaven”, is a large system of mountain ranges in Central Asia.

The Tian Shan Mountains span Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and the central parts of China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. I took this full moon photo at the yurt camp where we stayed for the night, at the foot of Köl-Suu lake, a magnificent alpine lake located in the At-Bashy district of the Naryn Region in southeastern Kyrgyzstan.

Kalp ve Ruh | Heart & Soul Nebulae ✨

📍 Seben Gölü, Bolu

Seben Gölü’nde, sıcaklığın sıfır dereceye kadar düştüğü, gökyüzünün ise son derece berrak olduğu bir geceden iki derin uzay güzelliği: Kalp Bulutsusu (IC 1805) ve Ruh Bulutsusu (IC 1848).

Gün batımının ardından başlayan hazırlıklar, ekipman kurulumu, polar hizalama ve gece boyunca devam eden uzun pozlamalar… Sonunda ortaya çıkan bu kare, benim için derin uzay astrofotoğrafçılığında ayrı bir yere sahip. Hâlâ öğrenecek çok şey var ama bu yolculuğun en sevdiğim tarafı da biraz bu :)

Bu arada sevgili arkadaşım Rızvan’a @rizvantalha ayrı bir teşekkür borçluyum. Star tracker’ın kurulumundan hassas polar hizalamaya, sahadaki teknik detaylardan fotoğrafın işlenme aşamasına kadar bilgi ve deneyimini benimle paylaştı. Heart & Soul | IC 1805 & IC 1848 ✨

📍 Seben Lake, Bolu, Türkiye

Two deep-sky beauties from a night at Seben Lake, with temperatures dropping to around 0°C and exceptionally clear skies above us: the Heart Nebula (IC 1805) and the Soul Nebula (IC 1848).

Setting up after sunset, getting everything polar-aligned, and spending the night collecting long exposures… This image feels like a meaningful step forward in my deep-sky astrophotography journey. Still so much to learn, but that’s part of what makes it so enjoyable :)

A special thanks to my friend Rızvan @rizvantalha , who generously shared his knowledge and experience with me throughout the process — from setting up the star tracker and fine-tuning the polar alignment to helping with technical details in the field and during post-processing. ‘Arktik Geceler’

Kuzey Kutup Dairesi’nin üzerinde, Murmansk’ın uzun gecelerinde çektiğim birkaç kare.

Soğuk, sessizlik ve kuzey ışıkları. Arktik bölgenin en sade ama en unutulmaz halleri. Aurora her seferinde gökyüzünde başka bir şekle bürünüyor.

‘Monoliths of Al-Disah’

Morning light filtering through the towering sandstone formations of Al Disah, revealing the valley one layer at a time. What caught my attention was the contrast in scale - massive walls of rock disappearing into the haze, while a solitary tree stood quietly below. 🇬🇧 Into the Heart of the Milky Way

A wide-field journey across one of the richest regions of our night sky.

From the colorful Rho Ophiuchi Cloud Complex surrounding Antares, the frame stretches across Scorpius and Sagittarius toward the dense star fields of the Milky Way’s Galactic Center. Dark molecular clouds cut through countless stars, while the Cat’s Paw Nebula (NGC 6334) glows within the larger galactic landscape.

What looks like darkness here is often dust — enormous clouds of interstellar material obscuring the light of millions of stars behind them.

One frame, countless stars, and some of the most complex structures in our galaxy.

🇹🇷 Samanyolu’nun Kalbine Doğru

Gece gökyüzünün en zengin bölgelerinden birine uzanan geniş açılı bir bakış.

Kadraj, Antares’in çevresindeki renkli Rho Ophiuchi Bulut Kompleksi’nden başlayarak Scorpius ve Sagittarius boyunca Samanyolu’nun Galaktik Merkezi’ne doğru uzanıyor. Karanlık moleküler bulutlar sayısız yıldızın arasından geçerken, Kedi Patîsi Bulutsusu (NGC 6334) da bu dev galaktik manzaranın içinde kendini gösteriyor.

Burada karanlık olarak gördüğümüz alanların çoğu aslında boşluk değil; arkalarındaki milyonlarca yıldızın ışığını örten dev yıldızlararası toz bulutları.

‘Layers of First Light’

At sunrise in the NEOM mountains, warm light moves across the dunes and distant ridgelines, revealing layer after layer through the atmospheric haze.

Deep shadows in the foreground, soft golden light in the distance, and countless mountain silhouettes fading into the horizon.

A landscape and a geography that never disappoints, no matter how many times you see it.
