Kalp ve Ruh | Heart & Soul Nebulae ✨

📍 Seben Gölü, Bolu

Seben Gölü’nde, sıcaklığın sıfır dereceye kadar düştüğü, gökyüzünün ise son derece berrak olduğu bir geceden iki derin uzay güzelliği: Kalp Bulutsusu (IC 1805) ve Ruh Bulutsusu (IC 1848).

Gün batımının ardından başlayan hazırlıklar, ekipman kurulumu, polar hizalama ve gece boyunca devam eden uzun pozlamalar… Sonunda ortaya çıkan bu kare, benim için derin uzay astrofotoğrafçılığında ayrı bir yere sahip. Hâlâ öğrenecek çok şey var ama bu yolculuğun en sevdiğim tarafı da biraz bu :)

Bu arada sevgili arkadaşım Rızvan’a @rizvantalha ayrı bir teşekkür borçluyum. Star tracker’ın kurulumundan hassas polar hizalamaya, sahadaki teknik detaylardan fotoğrafın işlenme aşamasına kadar bilgi ve deneyimini benimle paylaştı. Heart & Soul | IC 1805 & IC 1848 ✨

📍 Seben Lake, Bolu, Türkiye

Two deep-sky beauties from a night at Seben Lake, with temperatures dropping to around 0°C and exceptionally clear skies above us: the Heart Nebula (IC 1805) and the Soul Nebula (IC 1848).

Setting up after sunset, getting everything polar-aligned, and spending the night collecting long exposures… This image feels like a meaningful step forward in my deep-sky astrophotography journey. Still so much to learn, but that’s part of what makes it so enjoyable :)

‘Into the Tien Shan‘

Standing at nearly 4,000 meters, watching the turquoise waters of Ala-Kul far below.

As the drone slowly rises, the scale of the landscape begins to reveal itself — first the lake, then the mountains, and finally the vastness of the Tien Shan stretching into the distance.

One of those moments when you realize just how small you are in a place this immense.

‘Beyond the Road, Beyond the Clouds’

Seven moments from an unforgettable journey through Kyrgyzstan’s Tian Shan Mountains and nomadic landscapes. 🇰🇬🏔️

Kyrgyzstan was more than a destination for me. It was a journey through the vast Tian Shan Mountains, remote alpine lakes, endless highland plains, nomadic culture and unforgettable nights beneath the moon.

From the turquoise waters of Ala-Kul at 4,000 meters to the silence of Son-Kul, from golden eagles soaring above the valleys to eagle hunters carrying centuries of tradition, every place felt untouched and timeless.

People sometimes ask what I find in these mountains. The answer lies somewhere between the long trails, the ever-changing weather, the thin mountain air and the feeling of standing before something far greater than yourself.

These seven frames are only a small glimpse of that story. 🇰🇬🏔️

‘Yolların Ötesinde, Bulutların Ötesinde’

Tanrı Dağları’nın zirvelerinden göçebe bozkırlarına uzanan unutulmaz bir Kırgızistan yolculuğundan yedi kare. 🇰🇬🏔️

Kırgızistan benim için yalnızca bir seyahat rotası değil; Tanrı Dağları’nın derin vadileri, turkuaz buzul gölleri, sonsuz yaylaları, göçebe kültürü ve ay ışığı altındaki unutulmaz geceleriyle başlı başına bir yolculuktu.

4 bin metredeki Ala-Kul’un büyüleyici sularından Son Göl’ün sonsuzluğa uzanan sessizliğine, vadilerin üzerinde süzülen kartallardan yüzyıllardır yaşayan kartal avcılığı geleneğine kadar her kare bana zamandan bağımsız başka bir dünyanın parçası gibi hissettirdi.

Bazen bu dağlarda ne bulduğumu soruyorlar. Cevap; uzun yürüyüşlerde, değişen havada, yüksek irtifanın nefes kesen etkisinde ve insanın kendisinden çok daha büyük bir manzaranın karşısında hissettiği duygularda saklı.

Challenger | Mount Hasan, TURKEY 🏔Revisiting this one. Still one of my favorites. The story behind this shot is below 👇🏻

🇺🇸 EN :
Landscape photography is the art of capturing images of nature and the outdoors in which we try to bring the viewer into that scene. Although I have my some failures, I try to seek perfection, mostly accompanied by dramatic scenery and weather conditions. This perspective of my landscape photography is shaped to a large extent by the inspiration I got from my dear friend Aytek @aytekcetinphotography 🙌🏻 🤛🏻

When it comes to chasing epic landscapes on the field, our passion for nature is tested to the limit in the face of nature’s power. While taking this photo with Aytek, facing the extremely realistic challenge of mother nature was that limit.

In search of an original composition, we reached at the foot of Hasan Mountain after a long walk in a completely open area where the wind chill temperature nearly dropped to minus 20 celcius. Loss of feeling began to occur in my feet and Aytek’s hands, and we came to the point where we were in danger of frostbite. But when this started, we had already taken the image we dream, accompanied by the extraordinary soft light of the sunset. From that point in the field, we had to run back and reach the car and turn on the fan to warm our hands and feet immediately.

This photo was taken during a private trip organized for me by my dear friend @aytekcetinphotography who always acts with the motivation of catching the best and is a perfectionist with his patience and mastery of details.
