my therapist used to say healing isn’t a linear journey, and it’s true. it’s a circular journey, representing beginnings and endings happening all at once. there is a sacred communion to healing in that no one’s individual healing journey happens in isolation. our healing is always interconnected. it benefits the self as much as it benefits the collective.

my ancestors and guides rejoice as i shed, as i grow, as i release and call in something new. transmuting emotions is allowing grief and joy to coexist, feeling love and pain, while not crumbling under its weight. moving trauma through the body and releasing it with my breath. this healing is alchemy of the highest potency, transforming our bloodlines’ dna.

so for all the times i almost ended it, i forgive myself. for all the times i didn’t give myself the love i deserve and overlooked my own worth, i forgive myself. for not acknowledging my pain and seeking support, i forgive myself. i offer all past versions of me so much gratitude, and to the versions of me that were scared and hurting, i send them so much tender care.

i am love, and so i am loved.

I just got back from a retreat in Guatemala, and while there’s a lot to share, what’s sitting with me most is how realigned I feel to our deep, ancestral connection with the rhythm of the natural world.

The stability of the earth. The way nothing rushes. The way everything grows and flourishes in its own time because it’s supported, not because it’s forced.

It made me realize how much of my life has been shaped by chasing different aspirations. And how different it feels to slow down and receive in the midst of change and transition.

How it feels trusting that I’m on the right path without knowing what’s next, trusting that what’s for me will come. Listening to my body, my intuition, and to what’s already present, to what’s actually ready to grow when I stop forcing and pushing.

This next Revolutionary Rest is an invitation to slow down and to trade the rush of new beginnings for the power of staying present in the now.

Slowing down enough to let your ideas, your healing, your life take root. Because not everything needs a new start; some things just need your presence.

This is a space to ask yourself what you actually value. Not what you’ve been told to want, but instead connecting with what truly nourishes you.

Let your nervous system settle into what’s already here. Trust that your body knows things your mind hasn’t caught up to yet. Get used to feeling good, not as a distraction, but as a sign that you’re in alignment.

We are not separate from the earth. We are earth, and when you stop pushing against your own nature and start working with it, you realize that what you’ve been trying to force has been waiting for you to slow down enough to receive it.

Limited spots are remaining. I hope to see you there 🤍

So excited to collaborate and blend blissful energies with @sasha_doingthings. ✨

Join us @urbansanctuary.love for a journey through sound in the silks.

This special workshop blends yin-inspired aerial yoga + a deeply immersive sound bath, creating an experience that feels light, fluid, & expansive. Supported by aerial silks, you’ll move through slow, nourishing yin shapes that allow the body to gently open & decompress.

Accompanied by smooth rhythms, warm tones, & flowing melodies that mirror the slow unfolding of the body, you’ll be immersed in an atmosphere that helps you settle into the moment & move with a sense of softness & curiosity.

As the body becomes more open & receptive, we’ll transition into a guided sound healing journey guided by Sasha Green, founder of Integritas Wellness . 432 Hz crystal singing bowls & an assortment of chimes will fill the space with soothing waves of sound, allowing the nervous system to fully downshift into rest.

Together, the lightness of aerial support & the resonance of sound healing create a multidimensional experience designed to help you release & reconnect with a sense of flow & ease.

i’ve been waking up lately feeling anxiety in my body. that looming sense of dread hanging over me. i’ve been exploring it, allowing the feeling to move through me, and today i remembered that i am moving through so much discomfort through life transitions right now.

we as a collective are going through major transitions as our old way of being and thinking, our old systems and structures, dies away before our eyes.

but our nervous systems don’t know the difference between discomfort and danger. when we experience discomfort and dis-ease, our amygdala lights up telling us that we aren’t safe. that we are in danger, and then the worry, anxiety, doubt, fear, and dread kick in. that response is there to protect me, and i am grateful.

but i also have to be intentional about reminding myself that discomfort is safe. fear is safe. acknowledging that it is ok to move through discomfort because it means i’m growing. it means we are evolving. and that is a gift.

we are not here to stay the same, we are here to evolve. and in doing so, we attune ourselves to our light. the world needs your light to meet this darkness.

so my invitation to you is to explore ways to tap into your light. music and sound healing is one tool i use, because it helps me to tune out the noise and tap into my own frequency. to feel into my intuition and inner knowing.

if you’ve been holding a lot, feeling anxious and scattered, or simply need a moment of peace, please explore the link in my bio. i’d love to hold space for you.

you have everything you need within you. sometimes you just need to slow down enough to remember 🤍

hope is a verb.
rest is resistance.

we were not made for a world that demands constant output, urgency, and depletion.

we were not made for the constant intake of traumatic news cycles designed to burn us out and numb us into states of helplessness and hopelessness.

you don’t have to wait until you’re exhausted, resentful, or burned out.
you don’t have to wait until your body forces you to stop.

rest, healing, and self-care are not indulgences — they are forms of resistance and collective care.

the world needs you rested.
clear.
regulated.

to live in this world with an open heart is an act of revolution. it is not only possible, but necessary, that we meet this moment with joy, love, and a softer vision for our future.

on 3/22, we gather under the moonlight at @sakalacommunity for Revolutionary Rest — a yin yoga and sound healing experience designed to help you slow down, soften, and reconnect with your body’s wisdom and your inner light in community.

this is your time to breathe.
to feel.
to restore.

this event is offered on a community-supported sliding scale. please choose the rate that feels aligned with your current financial reality: $30 / $40 / $50

come as you are. 🤍

It was such an honor to guide a Black History Month Mat Pilates + Sound Bath event at @lululemon yesterday.

There’s something powerful about building heat in community and then slowing down enough to remember your own frequency.

We acknowledged the fact that pilates is Black History, and our community belongs in those spaces. We were reminded that sound and rhythm is Black History, and these types of communal healing have always been present in our culture and communities.

These practices are not new. They are ancestral. So, this practice allowed for a remembering and reclaiming of who we already are and what we already know.

Grateful to partner with @lecashmonet, founder of @bigtimemotion and absolutely loved co-creating spaces where strength and softness coexist. by @sasha_doingthings

2025 stretched me. The year of the wood snake was a year of deep release, and intense integration.

It brought growth and expansion, and also moments of exhaustion and recalibration.

I learned that growth can be fast and still require slowness. That my intuition is powerful. That saying yes to everything often comes from fear, not alignment. That my body speaks long before my mind understands.

I learned to listen to my body, release guilt around rest, reclaim my life from fear, and trust that I don’t need to have everything figured out to move forward.

I understand so much more now about my own capacity and what it actually means to care for myself while caring for others.

Reconnecting with my roots and honoring my ancestors deepened my sense of support in ways I can’t fully put into words. I feel more guided. More rooted. More attuned to my purpose.

I learned how sacred my energy is, how important boundaries are, and how much support matters. Finding aligned teachers and community reminded me that we can’t do this alone.

I have become the master of my domain.
I trust myself more.
I choose from a place of centering my needs and knowing my worth, instead of pleasing others.

These lessons are shaping how I live, how I work, and what I’m building next.

More soon 🤍 by @sasha_doingthings
