13 червня в місті Порту відбулася друга презентація книги «Кульбабове місто».

Друзі, дякую всім, хто завітав, придбав книжку і долучився до збору Аліни Шацило ( sha__lina ) для медичної роти 81 бригади ДШВ. З проданих книг і донатів було зібрано 8075 грн, які вже надіслані Аліні і додані до загального збору за ініціативи @arm.force.ua

Дякую Юлії Харлан ( @dr.yuliakharlan ) за чудову організацію події. Вікторії Шуляк ( @vee_doesnt_lie ) і Аліні Левченко ( @lil.fox ) дякую за підтримку в проведенні презентації.

17 квітня в Лісабоні відбулася перша презентація книги «Кульбабове місто».

Я дякую всім, хто завітав, придбав книжку і долучився до збору мого друга військовослужбовця Сергія Попова ( @s.s.popov ) на складові зброї і захисту. З проданих книг і донатів було зібрано 330 євро, які ми вже відправили Сергію.

Дякую Аліні Левченко ( @lil.fox ) і Вікторії Шуляк ( @vee_doesnt_lie ) за організацію події. Нашій незмінній модераторці Саші Бойченко ( @sashaboychenko ) за те, що задаєш питання, які роблять наші презентації цікавими й живими.

I had wanted to read James Joyce's "Ulysses" for a long time but always felt kind of intimidated by the book, famously filled with quotes, allusions, and references to everything in the world from Odyssey, Hamlet, and the Bible to obscure corners of Irish history. When I found out I was going on a work trip to Ireland in April, I decided it was time. At the beginning of March I went to the library and checked out "Ulysses annotated", a giant guidebook put together by Don Gifford which explains many of the countless secrets that fill the novel. All of March I read. I made a schedule, of course, because I'm crazy. I read the novel and I read the guidebook and I took notes and made bookmarks and tried to wrap my head around this truly insane piece of literature. And I finished! In Chapter 8, Lestrygonians, Leopold Bloom goes to a pub called Davy Byrne's for lunch. The whole novel takes place on June 16th, 1904, and so does this lunch. He eats a gorgonzola sandwich with a glass of red wine. That sounds good, I thought, and proceeded to discover that the pub is alive and well, open on Duke Street in Dublin since 1889. WELL THEN! I had a plan. I arrived in Dublin on Monday afternoon, and before the intense work trip began on Tuesday morning, I had some time to myself. After a walk around the city center, I headed straight to Davy Byrne's, slightly concerned that it would be filled with other nerds with the same unique idea. Luckily, that was not the case - most people there were just having a drink, unaware of the serious cultural moment I was about to experience. The waitress seemed quite delighted with my order, and while my sandwich was being prepared, I had time to look around the truly beautiful pub and appreciate the novel's presence all around it. And it was a glorious sandwich. by @sashaboychenko

Дуже хочеться щоб було більше таких презентацій, бажаю Іллі багато натхнення на нові чудові книжки 🙏🏼 (а ще ідея перевід на португальську, щоб більше людей знали про українців і Україну 🥹)
Буду з задоволенням читати книжку, дуже боляче що в мене і у багатьох українців не так скоро буде можливість побувати на Донбасі і в інших окупованих територіях… Дякую що дав можливість потрапити в місто яке бореться до кінця 💪🏼

hello friends! i know Ukraine is not on the news a whole lot as there are newer shocking things happening in the world, but things back home are not good. the winter was brutal for the entire country, with very little electricity and heating during some very cold months. it is finally over, but russia’s attacks do not stop. they launch hundreds of drones and missiles every single day. recently they’ve started attacking during the day, not even the energy infrastructure but residential and administrative buildings. hundreds of stupid shahed and other drones overwhelming the scarcely resourced air defense systems. air defense is struggling big time.

the harsh truth is that Ukraine does not have enough resources to shoot down everything that russia sends onto Ukraine every single day. this is why I am joining a fundraiser for interceptor drones that shoot down enemy UAVs and save Ukrainian lives. this is a fundraiser by a large, trusted organization @sternenkofund, which has successfully raised millions of hryvnias and provided hundreds of interceptor drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. today, interceptor drones have become a fully operational component of Ukraine’s counter-drone air defense system.

гурт «Курган і Agregat» @amil_kurganagregat випустили новий альбом «Поле каніфолі», з яким нещодавно відкатали великий тур Україною, де змогли зібрати майже 20 мільйонів гривень на закупівлю необхідної техніки для війська. тепер послухати нові та старі пісні прийшла черга до українців за кордоном. звісно, цей тур, як і попередній, повністю благодійний - всі гроші з проданих квитків та аукціонів підуть на потреби Сил безпеки й оборони України. крім того, мені особливо радісно ділитися з вами цією новиною, бо частиною команди туру є мої давні чернівецькі друзі @lopata_ev і святослав померанцев з фестивалю meridian czernowitz.
